When we moved here from a large city about two and a half years ago, my then eight-year-old was struggling. He was about two years behind in reading and math, overwhelmed, and regularly begged to be homeschooled. He often told me that he hated school and had lost interest in learning.My son also has diagnoses that require an IEP. In his previous school, it often took months just to get a meeting to discuss his plan, which was incredibly discouraging as a parent. At NH, every time I’ve had a question, concern, or even a suggestion about his IEP, I’ve heard back the same day. That level of responsiveness and collaboration has made a meaningful difference for both Indy and our family.Fast forward to now, and the change has been remarkable. His reading is now above grade level, and his math is right at grade level. He loves going to school, genuinely cares about his teachers, and has built a wonderful group of friends. Today, after telling me a friend was leaving to be homeschooled, I casually asked whether he’d rather homeschool or stay in school. Without hesitation, he said he definitely wants to stay at Nancy Hanks.For a kid who once dreaded school every single day, that says everything. I’m so thankful for the patience, care, and support this school has given him. It has truly changed his experience of learning and belonging.

This school is miles above every other school in this area. So happy my child gets to attend here!

Excellent. This is one of the top schools in Indiana. My daughter went there for 7th and 8th grade. The teachers and administrators are all caring professionals.
