2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is in tk and I sent her here to marshal thinking she would be safe and in good hands he’ll no on her 4th day I got a call saying she got hit in the head today the 5th day I go to pick her up theirs a note for me in the sign out page I open it read it it’s stating she got socked in the face !!!!!!! This school can’t even get a story right ? Did she get hit in the back of the head or socked in the left cheek ? I asked my baby she said the cheek the teachers saying the head or maybe she got hit 2 times but she don’t know witch I think is very unprofessional I’m sending her to school to safe to have fun to learn and I feel like marshals tk class is obviously not safe at all ! Theirs about 4 teachers in that class and they can’t even watch the students and protect them ? Then well I’m in line I hear the teacher telling another parent about how her daughter got kicked multiple times by a classmate as well like are our little babies safe here at school ? Because it’s seeming like they are not like the teachers can’t even watch the students properly and the schools making it seem like I’m overreacting when if it was the other way around and it was their own child I’m sure they be upset as well !! This school is highly unprofessional. They can’t even get a story correct and now I don’t know what exactly happened. But what I do know is my daughter isn’t stupid she’s smart she told me who hit her and where and I believe her if a kid is hitting classmates and more then once many they should change the consequences and suspend the child from class so the other kids attending can be safe and not get hit in the head or socked in the face !!!!!!!!!!! Am I happy heck no I’m not I feel like my baby is not safe at this school she comes home starving like she don’t eat we can’t even pack them snacks or lunches this happened August 5th 2025 it’s now August 6th 2025Parent Review10mo ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near Monroe.

"There's plenty of sidewalk room. Nice looking neighborhood. No traffic jams. There might be stray dogs walking around once in a while."

"It's normal to walk your dog around neighborhood. It feels safe. No major traffic to be aware of. Might not like my neighborhood bcuz there's only one park that may be considered walking distance."

"I grew up here and recently bought a home here and nothing about it has changed! It's quiet and everyone keeps to themselves. Never had any crime problems. Very good place to raise a family. I love that it's close to the freeway and not too deep in the city. "

"The community center that offers outlets to the children. There are also multiple schools not just 1 for the children to attend. I also like that the whole community can come together and have a good time when there are family and community events a the Van Buskirk community center."

"I enjoy going for a walk every morning but sadly stopped bringing my dog along because of the amount of broken glass on the sidewalk. "

"Small enough area to feel that neighbors are looking out for eachother (safe); however, small enough to feel like you still live in an apartment complex. You can literally hear the TV's of neighbors. The neighborhood park is nice but aimed for ages 4+. Pet-friendly park as long as they are on leashes....which puts fido out of playing fetch and playing fetch in your own back yard wouldn't do at all! Some neighbors arent too friendly if your pet is running loose. Neighborhhod could use speed bumps cause some people don't understand they should drive slow expecially with narrow roads and blind spots."
