4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDo not put your kids here!! I am currently a student and this school is terrible! Most teachers here can sometimes be very political. Some teachers talk about their own political opinions on newer topics about politics. Some teachers don't even care about safety, the principal does but some teachers absolutely don't. The kids here are terrible! Worst then the teachers, the kids there are very dirty minded, for example. They talk about stuff usely a over 18+ kid would say. Some even decide to throw punches at kids for know reason. People's personal life's get destroyed at this school, some kids here talk about (Sucking innapropriate things) and sometimes talk about p*rn. If you want your kids to live in a bad school like this then, your a bad parent.Student Review4y ago3 Reviews - Madison Camelview Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved from out of state to central Phoenix before my son was starting 9th grade. He applied for North’s International Baccalaureate (IB) program and started there last year. I was worried about the transition from a rural small school to an urban large school as a new kid freshman year after being online for 8th grade d/t COVID but he has never been happier. Supportive environment, great teachers, and he feels like he’s found his ‘people’. He also was in two high school sports teams and plans on joining a third next year. We couldn’t be happier.Parent Review3y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near Mayer.

"People are always out walking their dogs. We live right by the canal where there’s a path you can walk with your pooch, and possibly meet another dog!!"

"Phoenix has its pockets of good and bad. If you like a slower pace of life than Phoenix is not for you. If you like entertainment the city has plenty to do but prepared for long lines."

"There are none that I am aware of. My wife and I moved here four years ago and we have yet to see any type of neighborhood activities or get togethers. It would be nice if block parties existed out here. "

"There can be a high rate of crime in the area with a large homeless population, and the city doesn't maintain parks and public places. It's home to me as I grew up here and love it, but there are definitely downsides."

"There are a few hiking spots close by, there is a nice running trail that runs alongside the canal and Camelback Rd. Southwest Human Development makes its home here supporting early childhood for much of Maricopa County. There’s no shortage of businesses around here. This area borders the more well to do Arcadia and Biltmore neighborhoods as well as the more decidedly homeless and drugee scene that runs South of Thomas Rd. It’s a typical Phoenix neighborhood otherwise."

"Dogs are everywhere and most people are good dog owners. Every once in a while, someone will have their dog off leash that is not well-trained enough. But it’s rare. Also, at times there are coyotes about. Most of the time they run. Away from people, but I imagine owners with small dogs might feel a bit nervous to see one. "
