Many of the teachers are amazing and think outside the box. However, with more and more of our kids being diagnosed with ADHD and ASD, they Need to reevaluate how they plan on helping these children succeed, not only for the present, but the future.

For Van Buren County, this is one of the better schools. Having said that, they have some of the issues that the other county schools do: generational families who use the district as custodial, and apathy to any work or achievement beyond the state-required grade level. If your child is above grade level, they will most likely not be challenged, and will be mostly ignored academically as the majority of students struggle to make their state mandated achievement levels. The administration changed this past year, and has worked towards better procedures, but they are not even close to addressing the gap between the majority of students at or below level and the small minority above. They did not address these issues on a school wide level, and continue to teach to the middle. I am driving my children to Kalamazoo County next year.

The teachers care about their student's success and I felt prepared High School

I have had two children graduate from Paw Paw, and I have two children still enrolled. Our family is very grateful for PPPS. The size of the school is perfect; large enough for opportunity, but small enough for individual support. Administrators, teachers, and staff take the time to get to know the students and parents, so much so that I would count many of them as my friends. When our family needed help, they didn't hesitate. They supported us every step of the way. If your children loves music, Paw Paw Public School is the place for them. The choir and band programs are spectacular, and the theater department is amazing. Students are invited to participate in musicals as early as 3rd grade with annual Later Elementary, Middle School and High School productions. So many opportunities for the students of Paw Paw to shine and thrive. Paw Paw is a fantastic community to raise a family within, and the schools are a big reason why.
