What Locals Say about Brookfield Village

  • Trulia User
"some people are nice, we also have those who are rude, but all in all, if anyone needs help, the unexpected people are the first to do that. we look out for each other property, my family and I are always having parties, luncheons, bbq's , swimming pool parties, picnic fundraiser, and we also love celebrating everyone birthdays "
  • Trulia User
"I drive to work. Easy access to 880. 10 min drive to coliseum and San Leandro Bart station. 10 min walk to bus stop with an 6 min drop off at coliseum Bart station"
  • Trulia User
"The neighborhood isn’t Calle “Oakland Airport,” it’s called Brookfield Village. Good neighborhood. Houses tend to be in pretty good condition "
  • William C. C.
"This neighborhood is generally antisocial. Oakland is mostly a high crime area, therefore, the people here are unfortunately primarily wary or indifferent to others. It is generally diverse, however, each race chooses segregate itself. The homeless and drug abuse are just three blocks away. Broken bottles line the streets. Sidewalks have campers parked on them and those who are living in them, are most times unsanitary."
  • Samantha W.
"The neighborhood has a great park to walk your dog in. It also has great access to off leash trails at Oyster Bay and shoreside trails. "
  • William C. C.
"Right next to I-880, it is easy to commute to most common work area and large shopping destinations. Public bus stops are near, however the neighborhood is criminally saturated. A vehicle is a must."
  • Samantha W.
"This is a great neighborhood for families. It has a cute midcentury modern elementary school, a great park with soccer, baseball, indoor basketball courts, an indoor waterpark pool/gym and a library! The City even has a summer camp here. It is also a 10 minute bus ride from the BART and 2 minutes from the highway. Complete hidden gem. We moved here last year and love it! "
  • Patelenes
"I have two husky’s, no issues. Walk them daily. Recently flatlands have been adopt by the Oakland beautification project."
  • Sameer A.
"Good neighborhood if people just mind their business and live their life not get another peoples businesses I have been living in Brookfield for 15 years"
  • user
"Quick and easy commutes from the neighborhood to other areas of the east bay or San Francisco. Great location for commutes"
  • Dean
"Chill neighborhood. Good place to call home at the end of the day. Friendly neighbors and hard working people"
