"Murals on the buildings and Route 66 goes through the town. Several rivers surrounds Cuba. "

" Commute what lol? It’s a tiny town and the roads are good in the town. Never really a traffic back up. The school is average. Lots of factory jobs. "

"I've lived in this area for most of my life, with the exception of a few years in the military, and this city, by far, is the most family friendly and community oriented I've ever seen. There is an actual drive in movie theater still going strong, and on most summer evenings the ball parks are full of parents cheering for their children, then afterward, the children cheering on their parents. The city is very involved when it comes to supporting the schools and the children. The county fair is held in Cuba, as well as parades in the summer and also at Christmas time, welcoming Santa and celebrating the birth of Jesus. it's a joyous time whether you are 1 or 101!. With Steelville, aka the "Floating Capital of Missouri" just 8 miles away, camping, canoeing and float trips await you, your family and friends for a relaxing time on the Meramec River. It's truly small town America at its best, where a funeral procession is met by citizens pulling off to the side of the road out of respect until the procession has passed, regardless of whom the procession is for, if the drivers that are pulling over know them or not, respect is still paramount in this tight knit community. As you have likely surmised by now, having lived all over the USA, I headed back to my hometown to raise my children in the same community I grew up in. And now that they are grown with children of their own, they too want to raise their children in the same community. If that doesn't speak volumes about this quintessential small town America community, then I don't know what would! "

"Cuba is a great town to live in, with alot of outdoor recreation for all ages. The town is very envolved in youth programs, and backing their students in many indevers. The city council is always trying to bring in new businesses, so that they have plenty to keep people employed. The town jumps in to help if an emergency should arise. Families that loose their homes in fires are helped out immediately. Over all Cuba would be a hard town to beat as far as great towns to live in."
