"I see a lot of people where I during summer time everyone is having fun. it is very quiet though in part town I live in. I nice to be able to just set outside and see friendly neighbors and people waving at you. "
  • Kimnozzym
"Christmas market, Halloween parade, route 66, side walk sales, chalk it up, flea market, fair, the carnival on the square, and last of all the festivals at the Anderson mansion"
  • Kimnozzym
"my neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. can walk to things if need to. it's for most part a friendly place . "
  • Jason S.
"Carlinville, IL is a very rural community. Macoupin County is based around agriculture and (until recently) coal mining. The towns are small and spaced apart from each other. There is very little walkability and your selection of restaurants and activities is quite low. However, Carlinville schools are excellent (the best in the area) and the community itself is incredibly safe and friendly. If you are prepared to live the rural life in a 4-seasons area, Carlinville will suit you well. It is NOT suggested for couples without kids or single persons as there is no nightlife to be had, very little in the way of public transportation and the area is mostly families and retirees."
