Im actually a parent who is writing a review instead of a current or former student. This is is a GREAT school. My child has excelled here and the school does everything it can to ensure the needs of all students are being met (social emotional and academic). The teachers are very helpful as are the administrators. The people who complain are the ones who get into trouble and cause problems for others. These students are held accountable, as they should. There is a lot they offer students who have different interests and talents too after school (e.g. sports, clubs, tutoring, fine arts, etc.). My child has received a good education here.

I loved DUHS! I graduated in 2009 and miss DUHS and Dowagiac in general! Great place to grow up and get an education! Loved my time at Dowagiac Union High School!

Kincheloe Elementary: The principal once told me that they loved my child because he raised their Meap score average. At this school, the teachers can do no wrong. They are stuffy and behave as thought the parents work for them. It is not acceptable to disagree with or question teachers, even respectfully. They are mostly concerned about their jobs, not the child's quality of life. I have also heard them mock parents and students in the teacher lounge...more than once. Do not tell them more than they need to know.
