5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis establishment and it’s so called teachers completely and utterly take the fun out of llearning. The English department does not teach, they outsource the teaching to ridiculous on-line programs like NoRedink. My child did NO writing this past year. The Math department also very weak. They zoom through lesson plans to make sure they are teaching to the standardized test. The teachers justify their salary by creaming the kids with “busy work”. With the exception of the horticulture teacher, which was actually engaging the kids, there is no real learning happening. I could print worksheets and present them to my child too, but that is not what REAL educators do. I cannot believe my tax money went to PWCS for such low quality education. In fact, we are moving on to private school. Unfortunately, for all the other kiddos out there that parent’s cannot afford private school, my heart goes out to them. They are getting robbed of a real education.Parent Review4y ago15 Reviews - Nokesville Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt was fine until Dr. Jacks took over and now it's gone completely downhill. 50% of teachers went to other schools at the end of his first year and I pulled my kid out to homeschool. He's arrogant and controlling and talks about the parents behind their backs. He's also unfortunately really bad at logistics, and leaves teachers without any guidelines at all so no one knows how they are supposed to handle any problems or complications. Running a K-8 is really logistically complicated because you essentially have two separate schools in one building and he's utter rubbish at it. I would highly recommend going elsewhere if possible!Parent Review3y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near Grape.

"A lot of dogs owners, we have several doggies stations so people mostly pick up after their pets. We have a lot of trails to take our dogs on walks"

"Not much public transportation but if you’re looking to metro into the city it’s not super far. Traffic on the highway can be a nightmare during the weekday but inside the city it’s not bad"

"The commute is treacherous. Heading to DC is a horrible experience. Route 66 is plagued with traffic and tolls. Additionally, DMV drivers do not obey the laws. Coming from PA/NJ, these are by far the worse drivers. Individuals will jump 4 lanes to exit at the last minute. I’ve seen people driving onto and exit ramp for a highway...worse part about it all is that these very same people aren’t even remotely concerned. They have zero regard for other people’s safety or the law as a whole. "

"There is not really community here, even though the neighborhood is safe, clean, and nice with good schools. I miss community like I had in Manassas Park."

"For every major holiday decorations go up in shopping centers and on sidewalks. Most neighborhoods do the same "

"For a “working class” neighborhood it feels very high end. It’s very family friendly and extremely safe. It’s convenient to major roadways and shopping. Excellent schools and community "

"Mine isn't bad due to being able to take all back roads to Chantilly area. If I had to travel on main routes during rush hour I would lose my mind!"

"The feeling of community and being safe. The only thing is that neighbors don’t speak and we aren’t as close as I’d like but schools are great and nice amenities. "

"Gainesville VA is a rapidly growing community full of young families. The elementary schools are still good, but we chose private school for both middle and high school due to crowding. As Gainesville grows, there are many more amenities and things to do. Road traffic is only heavy for a brief time during rush hours. All in all, it’s been a wonderful place to raise our family."

"Really quiet neighborhood convenient to shopping, dining, and the freeway. Single family community on one side and condo/townhomes on the other. Decent community center and a new Lieftime gym less than a half mile away. Great weekend relaxer with minimum traffic. "

"Gainesville is a great community it borders Manassas and Haymarket. It’s a growing town so new businesses are popping up frequently. Traffic is only major issue once you leave Gainesville which would be I66. Busy busy Interstate "

"Ive lived here for over 10 years and can only name like 5 ‘events’ that have happened here lol. The more that the city has developed the more crime there’s been but the only repetitive nuisance has been car break ins when leaving your car unlocked (so lock your car). "

"People in this neighborhood are super friendly. We have neighborhood events and BBQ's, look out for each other's children, kids are always outside riding bikes. This area is very safe and my whole family loves living here."

"Their are two easily accessible routes to 66. Close access to routes 28 and 50. Back roads can often be taken to avoid any traffic. If you work the usual business hours, you’re bound to get stuck in traffic regularly. However, the fact you can actually spread out and relax here without city noise and with a sense of community is well worth the commute. "

"It’s a boring sea of beige with passive aggressive people. It has about as much culture as the color beige all the houses are painted with. "

"Great family neighborhood. Always nice people outside and neighborhood is helpful during winter with shoveling. Sought after location with easy highway access only 1 mile away to 66, 15, and 29."

"Everyone is friendly. We house sit and dog sit for one another, have neighborhood cookouts and yard sales. The houses and yards are well maintained. You know how every neighborhood has a creepy and rundown house where the grass is never mowed? Well, we don’t have one of those. "
