5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended Dickson Elementary for her 5th & 6th grade years. She was new to the public school system and she transitioned very well into it. The teachers and students made her feel very welcome and made her feel like she was family and as if they had known her for many years. I couldn't have asked for better teachers to teach her what she needed to learn in those grades and to pass with flying colors. And the office staff is always very welcoming and friendly when you walk in thru the doors. Doris Dickson truly does have Shining Stars! :)Parent Review12y ago2 Reviews - Don Antonio Lugo High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to go to this High School and I can say that this school sucked. The school focuses more on dress-coding students than focusing on their mental health. This school was genuinely horrible that I ended up doing online school because I couldn't deal with this stupidity this school had to offer. Send your child to Chino High School or somewhere else because Don Lugo is not worth it.Other Review1y ago7 Reviews - Ramona Junior High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to another school district that was a 10 because I had went to that school district in the 1980s. In the 1980s at that other school district it was very racist and I regret sending her their simply because it will attend. While Ramona may not be a 10 she's doing much better here and we are very happy and pleased with how things have been going and I regret moving my daughter out of the Chino School district because that nearby School district traumatized her as they did me. Well it may not be the nicest looking School or the newest it is easy to get in and out of in the morning and in the afternoon. So far we are pleased with the teachers and our daughter's grades have greatly improved since moving back to the Chino School district that she had left the second grade.Parent Review3y ago2 Reviews - Lyle S. "It’s nice to have events close by at the Fairplex, and there are a lot of great public/community resources available throughout Pomona— specifically public health. Our neighborhood, specifically, does not do any organized events, and I generally spend my time outside of Pomona (grocery shopping/errands in La Verne, San Dimas, or Glendora, and work in Orange County) because many parts of Pomona are NOT safe at all and I don’t feel comfortable taking my family anywhere in town."

"I don’t think Pomona is safe. I don’t feel Comfortable taking a walk. There are homeless encampments in many locations. I regularly call to report graffiti. The roads aren’t great; lots of potholes. Doesn’t seem to be important for city entities to take care of. Pomona isn’t well-maintained. "

"Don’t come here. Streets aren’t maintained. Sidewalks aren’t maintained. It’s not safe. I don’t feel safe walking around. I highly recommend moving out of state. "

"Pomona has ugly parts in the two main blvds and some houses. Nonetheless, it has a few really nice residential areas and the down town part is thriving. It makes me somewhat proud of living in a city with a lot of history and culture."
