6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have lived in Parma, OH for going on 5 years now. I have two kids going through this school and find it to be appropriate, fun, and extremely educational. Teachers know what they are talking about and keep family informed of the progress they are making. The only thing that I would touch on is perhaps the air conditioning be something they install, even if it's a in-room vented to the window AC unit. I saw that they have AC units in some rooms but not in others. Being comfortable typically makes for easier learning environments. However, my kids have nothing but good things to say about this school so that is a win to me. Personally I do not see why this school is not atleast a 7 or 8 but test scores have everything to do with those calculations. Again, it's a great school, the staff are caring and I have yet to see anything abnormal about anything. Policy and protocol are fair but the school does need some renovations inside in small areas. A new playground was recently added and along with a new bus/car pick up lanes in the rear and new fencing. The road out front has heavy traffic but is extremely safe due to the automatic ticket cameras going into the school zone. Overall, I think you will find a well rounded elementary school with caring staff and a welcoming environment. Definitely underrated and should be a go to school for anyone in the area.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Valley Forge High School

"I live on a very busy main road - super busy and at times scary as drivers speed up and down. The streets are lot. Emergency vehicles use this Main Street a lot so it’s never 100% quiet. Lots of street lights and cars drive on it 24/7. Not safe when you have small kids or small animals. Bus services are easy access. "

"Lack of diversity. Not enough park like settings that are kid friendly. Great for families, just be sure to have entertainment for your kiddos on your own space."

"I grew up in Parma. It’s a nice place to have a family. Quiet. Peaceful. Small homes, small lots. Good for people just starting out or those who are retiring and plan to be empty nesters. Lots of great pizza options. Tons of bowling alleys to choose from. It’s Swenson’s adjacent. How am I not at 100 characters yet? "

"I LIVE NEAR Veterans Park, which is beautiful, and well maintained. People can go fishing, enjoy many picnic areas, baseball fields, batting cage, exercise trail, minigold and disc golf throughout a wooded area. Police are often seen in the park areas and throughout the city. Not far, is another park, on West Ridgewood Drive. It is a Metroparks Trail throughout wooded areas as well as a shop to stop in and admire educational facts about our habitat. "
