6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went here and it was the worst time of her life besides the kids talking about shooting it up and the school not informing parents until days later about it. The leaving is bottom of the list the principal at the time couldn't bother to show up for 2 different meetings she asked for when she showed up for the 3rd one she came in late for 5 minutes and was on the phone the whole time. The teachers are verbally abusive and sometimes physically by having my daughters arm and pulling her into the office because she didn't walk fast enough for our meeting together. I swear if it was possible this school deserves a zero. They keep closing schools everywhere but it's astounding how this school has continued to stay open. You almost ruined school for my daughter and so is her most favorite place so shame on you for not caring about the children we entrust to you on a daily basis. And thank God Creighton is such an incredible school that they helped her through the trauma you're school caused!!!Parent Review8mo ago24 Reviews - Foothills Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWonderful school, we can't praise it more highly. The excellence starts with the school leadership, flows through the teachers and results in an exceptional experience for kids. Safety is definitely a top priority, I also feel that my child is challenged intellectually and has great classmates to engage with. Furthermore there are great extra curricular opportunities including robotics, cooking, chess, dance, etc. Our school is filled with students of diverse background that make a positive impact on the culture of everyone attending. And despite any socioeconomic differences, each student is pushed to reach their greatest potential. Though we had many choices in the area and could have chosen one with top test scores, we knew the quality we would get at Foothills wouldn't be at those schools. We are proud to be a Foothills Falcon family!Parent Review5mo ago27 Reviews - Green Mountain High School

"It's a city commute and is not very pleasant. I don't like driving in traffic so I don't like commuting "

"I don’t have a commute, so I don’t have to worry about it, ever. When I was working, I had a commute to downtown Denver and it was no big deal at all!"

"Some areas are nice, but crime and violence can happen no matter where you are. Be very aware. Do not leave any personal property in your vehicle and keep your doors locked. "

"There are really great parks, especially Belmar, where there is music, other events, the public library, an outdoor museum with old buildings, tons of wildlife and many trails to walk on. “Downtown” Belmar is nice too. Needs more restaurants though, especially on the plaza where Baker Street used to be. "

"I visit family every week here and it's a nice and quiet place. I have really enjoyed how peaceful it is in this neighborhood and I would like to stay. It's just getting expensive and I can't afford to pay for everything. I just hope I find something else just as nice or better."

"We don't have any because most of us are too worried about keeping our homes with the ever-rising housing costs displacing most of the working class locals "

"Not a lot makes my neighborhood unique outside of a few lucky families owning small farms. It's pretty much just like every other neighborhood that the transplants haven't developed just yet so us working class locals can somewhat afford to live here. There are gunshots, dumpy abandoned cars and the occasional loose dog but I'll take that over the neighborhoods filled with giant apartment complexes and Californians "

"Belmar Park is 135 acres of natural beauty and wildlife. Plus, the heritage center and outdoor museum, and the amphitheater with concerts and movies. Plus cider days and other events at the park. And Camp Christmas! It’s close to Belmar shopping district, and I love that too. Close to I70 and downtown. "

"You see dog owners and myself walking dogs often. The dogs are welcome in most everywhere I have traveled with mine. (I can't say there has been anywhere she has not been welcome). I think as long as they are not aggressive you would be able to take them most places with enthusiasm. Even eateries. "

"This neighborhood is an older, blue-collar area that feels safe. A lot of residents own dogs and take good care of them (use a leash, pick up waste, etc.). There is lots of good food delivery options and is close to Belmar retail shopping center. 15 minutes to downtown Denver and 15 minutes to foothills. "

"This neighborhood is safe, quiet, near great hiking trails, and has lots of friendly people who help each other out. There are two kind gentlemen who shovel the entire neighborhood's sidewalk every time it snows, and even shovel nearby folks driveways. I can't rave enough about how amazing the neighbors are this area. There's no HOA but everyone keeps their houses/lawns decently aesthetic. Lastly, Arizona Place and the surrounding neighborhoods back up to a high school, so you will always see people out walking their dogs. I would highly recommend Lakewood/Green mountain as a place to live, own dogs, raise children, and enjoy nature. "
