"Tourist town with lots of unique shops and restaurants. Beautiful mountains and streams. Very friendly area. Homes are beautiful "
    • Yqgbw575ds
"Great for hiking not always safe to leave a dog unattended due to other wild animals like coyotes or deer."
    • Cedarnpinelodge
"We are a small mountain community of 3,000. We have Town Hall meetings and talk about problems that the community faces or has. "
    • KK C.
"There are many dog-friendly people in the neighborhood, and there are great trails and hiking areas where leashed dogs are welcome; however not all dogs in idyllwild are socialized, and there are not many enclosed public spaces where dogs can safely play together off-leash."
    • Sverre M.
"I think they would enjoy the neighborhood. It seem friendly and peaceful. We have been bicycling around the area and really enjoyed it"
    • Andrew K.
"Magical mountain village with eclectic people, shops and restaurants. Small town living at its finest. "
    • Anthony W.
"Good luck finding people to rent to you if you have a dog for a town that has a dog for a mayor it doesn’t like dogs. You need them too. Cause there is a bunch of wild life around you might need help to protect from "
    • Barbarajeanlongbrook
"Idyllwild is a wonderful place to raise children and has an excellent K - 8 school! We have lived here for 30 years, and it’s a very special community."
    • Jill P.
"Art events, a creative Halloween parade every year, a community Thanksgiving, and so much more makes it a very special Place to live!"
    • Shelley Martin
"Beautiful setting in the forest, wildlife best star viewing. Clean air and great hiking, safe community for all. Great mix of people who have small town pride and sense of community."
    • Cedarnpinelodge
"If you want to raise your kids in a community environment this is the place. One community park, and soon a community building. A concert center for our free summer concerts. "
    • Kaitlin M.
"There’s nothing quite like idy! Quiet, cozy artsy town in the mountains. Very friendly, small town vibe."
    • Pfitzger56
"Small village atmosphere, mountains, four seasons, and you can breathe & relax. Great community, hiking,"
    • Michelle B.
"I've lived in this neighborhood for 8 years. the neighbors are friendly. its close to nature and hiking trails. "
    • Dancinpurplekizz
"We are a small town where everyone knows everyone and we all say hi to each other. Not only that we have a dog as mayor "
    • Cedarnpinelodge
"It’s a very small village of About 1,800 full time residents. It’s a resort mountain town with no skiing. It’s known for rock climbing & hiking. Perched above the low desert of Palm Desert people escape here from the high heat there. No fast food and Mom and pop shops. Dogs as Mayors for the village. It’s like living back when everyone knew your name, kids could ride their bikes, and they were safe. It’s a secret, not many people even know we are up here. So shhh we like it that way! It’s Magical!"
    • Michael W.
"Great place to get away to. Quiet, cozy, well maintained and easy to keep that way."
    • Michael W.
"Very peaceful area for anyone that likes the mountain areas and appreciates getting away from all the hustle & bustle of the city."
