4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis will be my second year of going to this high school and I think people over exaggerate about it being a bad school. It lets u be something. Let's u be part of the family. Garfield has soo much potential and good students. They offer so many things.Don't let a few kids get to u. Oh and u should definitely join student council :)!!! You'll have fun in this school. At least I do.Student Review11y ago5 Reviews - Innes Community Learning Center

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs somebody who attends this school, this is by far one of the worst schools ive been to, there is to many fights way to much bullying and the teachers and principal just don't care, I have always enjoyed going to school, but not this one though, I recommend that you don't send your kid here, believe me you will regret it, at my first year in this school I was already being picked on and it was always so hard to concentrate on my work and it really effected my grades, ao far since i've been there 10 kids left and im about to be one of them I cannot stand it anymore, kids were going around stabbing other kids with pencils and making tiktoks about it, every single morning we have to walk through a metal detector to make sure nobody is carrying weapons, it's just crazy....Please I beg you, DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE!!!Student Review3y ago6 Reviews - Rimer Community Learning Center

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRimer is such a sweet little school. The teachers all know all of the students names and greet them with smiles and hugs. Students try and are happy when they learn. There are many family events and opportunities for the parents and teachers to meet/ talk including texting! The teachers that we have had have been very responsive and friendly. Luckily I haven't had to deal with my student being in any disciplinary situations, we try to send out child to school with manners and respect. I think that most of the families at Rimer are like us. We don't have a lot but we want the best for our kids and we're willing to pitch in to help make it happen.Parent Review2y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near Flora Ave.

"Be cautious what area you move to. Highland Square and Fairlawn are better areas. If not go to Cuyahoga Falls or further North."

"I have lived in this neighborhood for 7 years. I think of some neighbors as friends we help each other out. While there is a lot of crime and it tends to be dangerous. It would be a nice place if the city invested more and if the police didn’t avoid patrolling around here "

"This really isn’t a good neighborhood to live in. It didn’t use to be this bad but the crime is horrible there’s no police presence so the stores and gas stations always get robbed and the city of akron does nothing to help this neighborhood. Summit county the county where the neighborhood is doesn’t do anything to help anyone. There are very little programs yet poverty everywhere. You wanna limit crime ease the poverty and add more police presence. That’s why nice neighborhoods are nice they have police and city investments "
