4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is absolutely awful. We really thought it was great at first and over 3 years we have found out that that is just a giant facade. They will give your kid every single excuse, every single ounce of slack, and every slap on the wrist they possibly can. They blame the parents for literally everything. The teachers barely do anything to motivate the students. The IEP here enabled our kid to grow more anti social, not less. To buy time and stall, rather than get work done. And there are history and civics lessons that our kid has no idea what they are and he's in eighth grade. Apparently according to the VP, expecting your kid to be responsible for getting themselves ready for school at age 14 is "an unreasonable expectation"For real?? He starts 9th grade in 7 Months ... WHEN exactly do they expect it to be reasonable? After they graduate and have already built a habit of not being on time anywhere?? Yeah that sounds like it sets your kid up for the success in the future. Just give them a scapegoat for literally everything. The school does not hold the students personally accountable for anything. It's just blame shift blame shift blame shift. They also do not monitor the school computers worth a damn, they will claim that they do, but they won't they'll just wait till something happens and then they'll have somebody check the history on it. And then they'll just continue to do it that way instead of actually doing something active to make sure that kids aren't abusing the tools. Or they'll just take it away rather than actually making sure that the kids are using the tools correctly. So it's not a reasonable expectation for a 14-year-old to be responsible for getting themselves to school, but it's a reasonable expectation for kids younger than that to behave in class with the computer in front of them??? Huh .. that's some real sound logic there. This school is an absolute joke. We have also had several safety issues that we have had to involve police in. And we get an email at least once a week explaining why there was an emergency vehicle at the school, really don't feel like that email should happen that often...Stay away from the school, seriously it's not worth the headache.Your kid is more likely to come home with a free fidget spinner, rather than better grades, or any sense of respect.Parent Review3mo ago10 Reviews - Huntley Elementary School

"There’s a lot of local businesses, bars, restaurants just a ten minute walk away from here. And during the summer there’s a lovely farmers market on college ave, which is also only a 10/15 minute walk away. Mile of music usually happens on the ave which is an excitement for the entirety of Appleton. "
