2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is the worst in Susquehanna Township. A male student that goes here, a family member of mine, has struggled throughout this school, and seemingly everyday comes home, and repeats what other kids say there, including threats, harm to others, harm to himself (including su*c*de), name calling, hatred, etc. The kids here are mostly bad, the teachers do not seem to help nor care, and the principal does not seem to do his job and rather be a friend to the kids. It is not your duty to be a "friend;" it is your duty and job to help discipline these kids. No wonder this school rates poorly across all spectrums... Something needs to be addressed ASAP! This is ridiculous!!!!Other Review8mo ago5 Reviews - Susquehanna Twp Middle School

"Harrisburg is a friendly place. As long as you know where you are and are aware. Everyone typically looks out for each other "

"Harrisburg is not a good place to raise a family the roads are not safe for driving your car the homes are ran down and the price of living is to expensive to live in a ran down city truly I advice no one to live in Harrisburg "

"Public transportation is very limited but it’s fairly easy to get to downtown Harrisburg. There are shops within walking distance but they don’t offer much in the way of food"

"Downtown Harrisburg but small town feel near the river is not the safest at all times but quant with good parks. Occasional car theft. Noise includes fireworks from neighboring community and bike gangs that ride through. Nearby lake offers community music events and good walking trails. Safe during the day. Sketchy at night. "

"I’ve lived here for going on 9 years and I feel this is the better area of Harrisburg. With it being close enough to local restaurants & businesses., it’s a great central location from Hershey, Camo Hill, Mechanicsburg, & Middletown. It’s an ideal location."

"It depends what area you live in. I think the area is getting a lot more of an inner city feel to it. There are private schools to sent kids to. I would either send my child to a private school or move to a smaller community."

"Uptown, Harrisburg is a diamond in the rough, that is going thru a current transition. Miton Hershey us opening a new school in the Uptown neighborhood. PA Archives and Federal Courthouse and now been added and a slew of great local grub, that you can eat and stroll by the Susquehanna River. Properties for sale are scarce, but they are a great entry price that you can have room to renovate to your liking. People are generally respectful and the crime(if any) is usually personal, respectively. "

"Downtown Harrisburg is easy to get to which has events, parades, and all year round fun. It’s enjoyable to walk to and along the Susquehanna River front and Italian Lake. It’s also easy to go to the West Shore or the East Shore for many options for shopping, grocery, and entertainment. "

"very crowded. hard to get parking some days, and people drive too fast through here. I think this place is best for young professionals thanks to location (close to shopping etc) and the amenities like tennis and the gym. as well as senior people thanks convenience and it being quiet and private, and small families like one child maybe 2 or it just feels too cramped no matter what apartment u have. there's people everywhere, except it's very prettyhere. it's like a bougie section 8."
