1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been a volunteer at BIHS for several years. Sometimes I work in a classroom, and sometimes I work with students one on one. I love the school. The teachers are young and energetic and committed to the students. The students are motivated and have a very positive attitude toward learning. The atmosphere in the hallways is positive and playful. The atmosphere in the classrooms is focused and attentive. Brooklyn International is a truly wonderful place, and every time I go there to work with the students, I come away feeling like my day has been made brighter and that I have been part of something special.Other Review12y ago4 Reviews - Dr Susan S Mckinney Secondary School Of The Arts

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible, horrible school. Transfer immediately. Academics suffer in a chaotic, disrespectful environment. Bullying is the norm, and the teachers and facultly misrepresent the school to prospective students. They keep talking about an A grade from several years ago, when their current grade is a C. I wouldn't be surprised if it's an F next year.Parent Review12y ago10 Reviews - Ps 307 Daniel Hale Williams

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a wonderful school. We live in DUMBO, and our daughter attends the 3K program. We truly cannot say enough good things about PS 307.We actually moved her from a large multinational “Montessori-style” daycare provider, where both she and her sister had attended since infancy, and the quality of education and care at 307 has exceeded our expectations. The teachers have decades of experience, the administration is responsive and organized, the facilities are wonderful, and the overall environment feels warm, nurturing, and community-oriented.For any parents who are on the fence about PS 307, I strongly encourage you to visit and see it for yourselves.Parent Review3w ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near Evans St.

"I’ve lived in Dumbo since 1994, I don’t mind the changes, development or tourists... it’s what I love about this city, forever changing, moving and growing. At least we don’t have packs of wild dogs running around like we did in the 90’s "

"I’ve lived in DUMBO/Vinegar Hill for 1 year. It’s my favorite neighborhood in Brooklyn. If you have young kids there are a lot of options for areas for them to play both indoors and outdoors. In the last year there has been an abundance of restaurants and shops opened. It’s a great community."

"Great urban area with waterfront, shopping, and the arts. Very walkable. But a $19,000,000 penthouse doesn't belong here. Anyone with that money is looking to buy in Manhattan."
