The school is actually K-12th grade with a total of about 200 students. The average class size is about 15 students/teacher. K - 6th are separated from the 7th - 12th. There is one teacher per grade. The students have electives like art, music, library, and PE. The students go swimming as part of their PE class time as well as learn many different types of athletic games. The 6th graders can learn to play an instrument in an after school class so they are ready for band in 7th grade if they choose it for an elective. I like the fact that the elementary teachers meet together weekly to go over the concerns they have about the students and how they can improve student achievement. They can also ask each other about how the student did in the past and see if the student is making progress.

Very nice school. Extremely bright students. Very friendly faculty.

The 7th-12th grade teachers meet once a week on how they can improve student achievement--they work together. There is bully/peer pressure meetings twice a month that all students attend and learn through activities and games. The school also offers two sessions of after-school tutoring (free of charge). Being a small rural school though, means that there are not as many electives that students can choose from as with bigger city schools. Currently we have art, music and band, and wood shop to choose from.
