7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am deeply disappointed with the educational environment at this school. It appears that some teachers lack the necessary skills and dedication, which is clearly affecting students' academic progress, as seen with the fourth-grade students struggling with fundamental math concepts, unless the parents teach the kids at home. The staff's apparent frustration with typical elementary school behavior is also concerning. They make kids feel the school hate them, like a prison. Most troubling is the alleged lack of communication with parents regarding bullying and harm, leaving families uninformed about critical issues affecting their children's well-being. Also I noticed a teacher with a small treadmill under their desk. I think it's more beneficial for teachers to be mobile, interacting directly with students to offer help and positive feedback, instead doing walking treadmill.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Murphy Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am currently a student, and I like the school very much and like the environment, but we have a relatively violent environment where people have beef. Academically speaking, this is a good place too learn and the school values your input.Student Review1y ago11 Reviews - C A McMillen High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMcMillen High School needs to improve when it comes to fairness and recognition. It often feels like students who regularly get into trouble receive more attention, while those who consistently do the right thing go unnoticed. You can walk into certain classrooms or offices and see the same students getting time, conversations, and leniency, while others who stay focused and respectful don’t receive that same level of acknowledgment. This creates the impression that positive behavior isn’t valued as much as it should be. A school environment should encourage and recognize students who are doing well, not overlook them.Other Review3mo ago14 Reviews - Check out schools near E Fm 544.

"The neighborhood has an old feeling and there are hardly any children. Hallooween is kind of a bust around here… maybe 2 trick or treaters if you are lucky. But it’s quiet and well maintained. "
