The lakes are filled by a developed spring that can be pumped into the lakes or allowed to spill into Christopher Creek. The big lake is approximately 1 acre and 16 feet deep. A system of four pumps transfers water from the big lake to the small lake raising the water level until it is allowed to flow into a man-made creek through a beautiful waterfall feature, and finally back into the larger lake. The system is continuous if left operating which provides another area of running water along the side of the meadow. Both lakes and the stream are lined allowing for an efficient flow of water. Also, the lakes and stream were designed to maintain a habitat to raise fish.

    The meadow is enhanced by a variety of trees including, sycamores, maples, and short-needled pines. The meadow, including the trees, is under a sprinkler-irrigation system that is fed by the big lake.

    There is beautiful 30x30 foot Ramada over a cement pad. Utilities include a well for water, electrical furnished by APS, and phone service. A cell tower nearby provides the property service which includes Verizon and AT&T. Two roadways, Christopher Creek Loop and the AZ 260, provide additional protection from forest fires. Previously platted for house lots, the property is presently being utilized as a single-owner estate.

Ramsey park is very close with many amenities including multiple sport fields, dog park, library, pool, children’s play area, bbq areas, skating park and a hiking trail. Payson is a vey outdoorsy place with 35 hiking trail around the city limits and many, many more trails, water areas, camping etc. Truly an outdoor persons dream place."
