"Beautiful commute into city. Hwy 280 can get congested but itโ€™s well worth the drive. Beware of the trains tho, as we are transplants from Florida that were not use to the PLETHORA of trains travelling through the area. Once you get use to the noise they make the rest is well worth it."
    • Odazier
"Extremely safe neighborhood and let my kids run with their friends anywhere and donโ€™t have to worry about it"
    • 26ocho
"You see people walking their dogs all the time, but you never see poop around the neighborhood. Most neighbors are very friendly and welcoming. "
    • Fiona P.
"Neighborhood Events at Chelsea Parkโ€™s Park. They do a good job setting up holiday events. It is nice. People are very friendly. "
    • L. McGuire
"Chelsea, and the surrounding towns of Sterrett, Westover, Wilsonville and Columbiana, provide a fantastic place for for families to raise their children. Chelsea is a mostly conservative, Southern town with families whoโ€™ve been her for generations. They enjoy the new addition of businesses large and small, as well as restaurant chains, and special little โ€œhole in the walls.โ€ The schools are educationally strong, and there is a moderate sized and rapidly growing group of homeschool families that have great opportunities that include: Church โ€œcover schoolsโ€ in the area, nice neighborhood libraries in each city, homeschool co-op opportunities for children from Kindergarten thru High School, and a number of sports opportunities from both church and community leagues. Most people who live here desire to lead a somewhat quiet life, raise their families, and enjoy the benefits of what once was a small town. "

    • Cdjones890
"Nice and safe place to live. Far from downtown, rough traffic during commute. Limited restaurants in close proximity "
    • Dash Cruz
"Great community. Active Facebook group for neighborhood. Close to high school. Narrow streets though. "
    • Wdurst75
"This neighborhood is great because many of the members often host get togethers for various events throughout the year. People are often out walking and talking with other people in the neighborhood. "
    • Ellen G.
"Mass transit is virtually non-existent and itโ€™s too far out to walk or bike. You need a car to get around. "
    • Vestavia123
"Coyotes are active in the Chelsea area, therefore all dogs need to be in a fenced yard. Outside dogs need shelter. "
    • Cece J.
"Love my neighborhood and my community. It is a good place to raise kids and Chelsea is growing.........."
    • Kayla W.
"We have enjoyed living in Chesser Plantation and have made special memories with our two daughters. What we like most about this home is that it is very spacious and feels private. Great neighbors and very quiet street. We often have family from out of town so the bonus room upstairs has been very nice for have. We also like Chelsea a lot. It is an upcoming suburb of Birmingham; close to what you need on 280 but still has a small town feel. Chesser Plantation is a great development that is conveniently located to 280 but also very friendly, quiet, and great for walking. We are moving due to job relocation later in the year, but we have very much enjoyed the charm in Chelsea. "
    • Cori P.

Very family oriented neighborhood. "
