6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageReally good school. All amazing teachers who really care and are people you can talk. You really get to know them through the school year and they always stick up for us. One problem Bigfork Elementary/Junior High has is the school board and principle, vice principle, counselor. They don't give us the opportunity to reach our full potential. They get us to share our opinions but don't do anything. For example, I was in a higher english class so the high school librarian and english teacher came to an agreement to let us use that library as long as we were respectful because the elementary library had books for 6 grade and under. The vice principle eventually banned it for no reason. We are not allowed to have clubs or create a club, under any circumstances. Even when we tried to create a book club with English teacher. She agreed, yet the Principe said no. The students in this school try to make it better but keep being turned down because we are students. How are we supposed to grow when you take away the resources? The biggest problem is bullying. I was cyber-bullied and verbally abused by my peers.I have been called gay and stupid among other things. Also, my 1st grade sister was called fat and ugly and we reported it many times but it never got better. Her best friend (also 1st grade) was physically pushed down and attacked. They get called names and I have seen him cry on the bus. Recently, there have been many fights and an increase in bullying. I saw two 6th grader punching each other in a hallway. My friend had her stuff took from her locker one day and we found it in the trash. Was a very good community school until a few years back. We are being held back by the school board. Teachers and students alike try to make it a better environment.Student Review10y ago5 Reviews - Bigfork High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our first year at Bigfork Schools and Bigfork High School. We came from a Christian private school and we love Bigfork High School. The administration has been great, the school counselor is absolutely wonderful and the principal is extremely engaged and professional. Our experience so far with all the freshman teachers has been phenomenal. Its a great mix of younger teachers and veterans, they are all experts in their subjects and they really care about the school and the students. Not to say that my son has no grievances, but every time we have asked to meet with a teacher or administrator they have made themselves available and made a real effort to listen and figure out the best path forward. We could not be happier with our choice of high school, the students are real and generally good kids. Some of course do real stupid stuff, including my student, but the teachers, the administration and staff are very committed to addressing issues and behaviors, and moving forward to help the students help themselves be successful. Mr. Hansen is exactly what a principal should be - he is professional but caring, and has the best interest of the students at heart. We have not attend a single school event, game, concert or function where he wasn't present. He is very committed to his position in the school and the community. It all starts at the top, and this is a great school.Parent Review2y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near Deer Ln.

"This is a very poor area as far as being a dog friendly. There is nowhere at all to let your dog out to run and to play the only exercise you can get is on leash very disappointing."

"This is a great place to raise family. Good school good churches. The cost of housing is high as there is a lot of tourists and vacation rentals. More and more people are relocating. Evergreen is probably the highest in crime and drug use around here. "

"The area that I live in is nice but the neighboring areas are run down, boarded up, and look a little rough. I feel safe in my house but a few blocks away, I wouldn’t. "

"I use to live here and enjoy the atmosphere it has....it change a lot since I've lived in Idaho but look forward to buying my dream house as you d say... I will have a portion of my life back... but in getting here I've found that a lot of relators have their own pockets in mind and not the service I am looking for.. I've come to the conclusion though that I still think Montana has and still maintains the mountain country feel.... but that a true Montana native can really only appreciate those words."
