5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI just love this school. We moved here from out of state and my daughter had some problems with kids picking on her at lunch. We understand kids will be kids but it bothered her enough for her to ask me to help get it stopped. I told the teacher the next morning and within two hours the school called me and said they talked to all three kids that were picking on her and then they brought her in and apologized to her as well. Then they said they let the lunch staff Also my kid is coming home every day telling me about all the things that she learns. This is so much better than the last school we were at!know about the problem and they will keep and eye on it. I love how it was dealt with, especially that it was dealt with in a timely manner.Parent Review12y ago1 Reviews - North Fork Montessori @ Crawford School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is an excellent school. One of my children is a recent graduate and another is just getting started. The teachers are amazing and the programming is wonderful. The environment is inclusive, warm, and accepting and yet high standards are the expectation.Parent Review2y ago8 Reviews - Delta Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery much an area that is bias and receives special treatment because they know or are related to school teachers/officials. I do not think they really put much emphasis on education. Attendance is low and partially I believe due to the fact that they allow no structure for late or absenteism but then have ridiculous rules on not bringing a pencil to class. They do not listen to parents concerns and instead of dealing with major issues like bullying at school or on the buses, they rather shoo it away or blame all parties involved.Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Delta High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot sure what the few other reviews are talking about tbh. The principal Mr Renfrow is fantastic. The teachers are amazing. And we love GMES! Lots of complainers who sit on there butts these days and don’t help, but this is a great school.Parent Review9mo ago5 Reviews - Hotchkiss Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my kids went to school hear and really had a fantastic, personalized experience. This school district may not receive the funding that the bigger schools in Colorado get, but the teachers and staff are very caring and the learning environment is excellent.. This is why we moved here. Small town values and a loving environment.Parent Review11y ago2 Reviews - Cedaredge High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWent through this school years ago, but it still holds the best memories that I believe wouldn’t have been the same if I grew up in a bigger school/community. This school gave me many opportunities to get involved and be a part of teams and clubs. Made life long friendships that still hold today. Cedaredge is a special place. The teachers and admin were top notch! Thank you to the Cedaredge community. Hope to make it back someday to raise a family.Other Review10mo ago2 Reviews - Paonia Elementary School

"This is a very small rural community. A bit lost in time, which I love! It has incredible views and a very mild climate. "

"Lots of country side, wide open spaces. People know each other's dogs and look out for them. You can't be the loving care of a small town. "

"We have one community event a year called Pioneer Days. We have a parade and booths and a fireworks show in the evening at the lake. Other than that everyone keeps to themselves other than a hand full who like to be in everyone’s business. "

"Fruitland Mesa is an awesome neighborhood--a broad, flat mesa surrounded by mountains on all sides. Large tracts of it are irrigated in large ranches and hay farms. Other tracts are cloaked in pinyon and juniper forests. There are abundant herds of mule deer and elk, outstanding views of the West Elks and the Grand Mesa, and a quiet rural lifestyle. Hay production and ranching are the major activities on Fruitland Mesa, which is just south of Crawford, but there are also quite a few retirees with nice estates in a peaceful neighborhood. "

"Crawford is one of the best-kept secrets in Colorado as far as pure livable country lifestyle. Large ranches and smaller ranchettes keep the countryside green and beautiful. A traffic jam here is your neighbor driving his cattle down the highway. The nearest stoplight is 31 miles away in Delta. While Paonia and Hotchkiss are good orchard and fruit areas, Crawford is a little higher in elevation, and therefore better suited to ranching and hay production. People are friendly and there is practically no crime--and criminals don't dare try it, because most everybody has a .30-30 behind the door. Schools are very good and there are several good local churches. Recreation is easy to find, with excellent mule deer and elk hunting, fly-fishing, rafting, skiing, boating, and just about anything else you can think of. Restaurants and bars and nightlife are few, so you learn to make your own fun. This is a great place to raise a family, to retire, or to live out your dream of living in the country raising a garden and some livestock."

"From Crawford, Colorado, the nearest stoplight is 31 miles away in Delta, to the west. After that, the nearest stoplight is 71 miles away in Carbondale, to the northeast, and Gunnison is 81 miles to the southeast. Heavy traffic, parking problems, and crime are almost non-existent. A traffic jam around here is the neighboring rancher moving his cattle from one pasture to another via the highway. Schools are excellent, and sports programs (wrestling, football, basketball, volleyball, track, cross-country, tennis, soccer) are outstanding. Local students have won national and international awards in science and engineering and have won major scholarships at prestigious universities. Recreation is all around you, with hunting, fishing, horseback riding, snowmobiling, skiing, boating, Nordic skiing, and hiking available in any direction. If you're looking for nightlife and shopping, this is not the place. Save your money and take a couple of trips a year to the city and get your city fix. In the meanwhile, grow a great garden (the sunny days and cool nights make outstanding produce), raise a steer or a pig, keep your horses on a nice pasture so you can ride in the nearby wilderness, and sleep peacefully with no sirens, traffic noise, or honking horns. If you need to shop, go online and wait for the UPS truck."

"Wonderful place to live and raise horses. Irrigated pastures and views in every direction."
