7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn the past seven academic years the school has had a consistent problem with not knowing when a sixth grader has left the campus and not been signed out. The school also has a problem in the office with paying attention to details to the point where it's concerning especially when your child can just leave campus and go somewhere else and be seen and the school had no idea that she was gone. It's also really appalling the level of excuses the principal Stephanie southcott comes up with when your child is screaming for help emotionally. She blames autism as a excuse when the autism has nothing to do with it and she has a copy of the IEP from a different County as well as a 504 plan. It takes numerous calls to correct anything with this office and numerous attempts to just get a copy of your child's file In the meantime children there are only allowed to perform academically to a very low bar and when your child constantly test higher than that in the state testing they still only keep your child at the low bar and not a combination classroom. The middle school is a joke You only have three teachers and 6 weeks after they start 6th grade they may get a locker for PE it's not high school preparatory at all It doesn't prepare for them for the real world on any level and unfortunately my child only had three good teachers the first three years she was there The rest have all been very challenging and difficult unfortunately my daughter has not been taken care of or given the respect that she needed while attending there This will be her last year.Parent Review7mo ago7 Reviews - Santana High School

"Very little crime in this neighborhood. Likely the most safe in San Diego County. The worst thing in the area is petty crime from stealing in grocery stores."

"I like how my area has a lot of shops and amenities near by but there are a few things that are missing that I would like. Other than that there are a few homeless people in the area and some unpleasant people around. A lot of drivers are aggressive and not courteous, and I wish there were better sidewalks for people to walk safely on."
