3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is absolutely terrible. Do not come here. The school staff is absolutely rude including the school safety police officers that are supposed to ‘keep everyone safe.’ They do not have no respect for even the nicest of students. The school staff is biased and punishes students for things they do not have involvement with. This school is horrible, please do not send your kids here.Student Review1y ago9 Reviews - Ps 241 Emma L Johnston

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy two children started in pre-K and the oldest is now moving into 5th grade. We’ve had a great experience — the teachers care deeply about the kids and there’s great teacher retention. Since the new principle took over a few years ago, Ms Foy has bought a burst of positive energy with lots more arts and language, plenty of clubs and outside activities. My son is learning Mandarin, my daughter is getting on well with the violin. They both love the chess club. I’m just sad that capoeira only lasted a year! I also like that the parents are much more relaxed here than places like PS316 - where my neighborhood friends report constant intense debates about every issue and opinion. That’s not something my wife and I were looking for. Long story short, our two kids are doing well, reading a grade or two about where they should be. While these’s not enough diversity yet (the attendees are 80% black) that is shifting and comes down to the choices the non-black community make.Parent Review1y ago9 Reviews - Ebbetts Field Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOne of the worst school in the district. The people in the main of don't know what the hell their doing. They are not organized and it a shame our kids has these people to deal this. Our kids shouldn't have to heal with this type of unprofessionismParent Review10y ago1 Reviews - Check out schools near Crown St.

"This area is now called crown heights. We are located on the other side of Eastern Pkwy. Atlantic ave is a border. We are up the hill. Not a dangerous neighborhood but people will litter all over your property. Dog litter everywhere. Trash from corner bodegas everywhere. I hate that about this community. "

"There are lots of dog parks both official and unofficial, where you can have your dog off leash before 9am or after 9pm. It's important to understand that it's not ok to let your dog pee or poop on sidewalk trees. Homeowners here take a lot of pride in their trees and gardens and letting your dog relieve itself on their property (even if you clean it up) is considered deeply disrespectful."
