Approximately 42 MilesSouth of Kaiula-Kona on Hawaii Island.Ocean View has one of the best privately-maintained road systems on the island, and perhaps in the state. "Road Maintenance" now includes stop and street signs, line markings, road patching, repair and resurfacing, shoulder maintenance and line-of-sight clearing. "There are a lot of homeless animals a lot of certain people don’t take care of their animals and don’t have them neutered so there’s a lot of strays and not enough people to take care of them"

"Ocean view is a rural community in the outskirts.. nice place once you learn the area but also have to stay cautious of some people.. definitely need a reliable car, limited businesses, stores, and basic whereabouts.."

"I've lived here for over 3 years, my neighbors barking dogs have made my life and my writer husband a real trial. We have met some very nice folks walking around our block but I do not know my neighbors across from me. I haven't had any other issues though others have had multiple burglaries and such. It is a beautiful location in Hawaii county, But, it is remote and folks aren't easy to meet like in a real subdivision. 10,000 lots in one subdivision with AG zoning and no CC & Rs so you have a mixed bag."
