5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagei actually attend this school and i would like to say that it’s been fun BUT if you’re looking for somewhere to send you child, it is NOT this one. i stand by the freedom of religion and who you are as a person and i believe schools should do the same and this school does not do this at all. the teachers are horrible and i haven’t learned a thing. the ex principal we just had let kids run all over her. gays were given the freedom to do whatever they please but ordinary people are looked down on. bullying is also a huge issue. if you don’t have what is nice or in style then you’re automatically made fun of. we also have so many students vaping in the bathrooms and passing around drugs which causes a major amount of ambulances to show up. i 110% do NOT recommend this school, i’d send my kids to tellico before i ever would this placeOther Review3y ago9 Reviews - Sweetwater High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBelow, was written by a student of Sweetwater HS. This student explains our frustrations as parents to SHS current students (past/future too). The old saying..."straight out of the mouths of babes!" This was a terrible school. If you can't breeze through the curriculum, you're not paying attention - at all. There's no challenge, it caters to the lowest scoring students. If your child is making "decent" grades at this school, they are still not prepared for college. I realize there are "advance placement" classes. However, for those who are making higher grades than their peers, but not high enough for AP courses, there should be classes tailored to their learning abilities so they aren't slowed down. This school does not foster an environment to encourage students to excel. Never one for the any level of government to interfere...but, they need come in...fire everyone!!! Rehire the good teachers (there are a few in SHS...with their hand tied) Hire EDUCATORS!!! NOT CATERS TO THE STANDARDIZED SYSTEM!!!Student Review11y ago3 Reviews - Vonore Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a STUDENT i had a TERRIBLE experience. You moght think im saying this just because im a student, but it was TERRIBLE! The teachers dont really engage with the students. There is one teacher, but all the others make learning boring, and very easy. The principle is nice, probably the only thing i liked about that school. The students are not loyal, and very dishonest. Its not as clean as the reviewssay, and the bathrooms arent cleaned regularly. I really do NOT recommend! I also transferred to a different school becasue of my experience there!Student Review11mo ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near Cherokee Dr.

"I’ve lived here a decade. No one talks to anyone. Frankly the traffic is too intense on Peterson to allow for neighborhood events. "

"There are no planned community events in this neighborhood, nor have there been in 10 years. It is too dangerous to walk on the side of the road. "

"It’s a neighborhood in transition. In years past we would have never considered living here, but now we were able to settle in as a young newlywed couple very comfortably. Our neighbors are some of the kindest people who have looked out for us time and again, and it’s a very diverse community racially, age-wise, and politically. "

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 10 years, and the neighbors are not friendly. it is a safe neighborhood, no one comes out of their homes for ambulance or firetrucks. it's safe to walk or jog, the cars do speed even with the road bumps and the speed limit 20mph. School bus picks up kids for elementary, middle and high school. Heritage Middle and High School District."

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 10 years. it's pretty quiet for the most part. This is not a friendly neighborhood, people stick to themselves, and don't communicate with their neighbors. "
