"Great area for a country feel and quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando. Only 30 minutes on average to Walt Disney World. "
  • Hunter
"This place used to be an amazing rural area, now there are warehouses being built in every single pasture that used to be filled with cows. Tread lightly. If you are looking for a quiet country place to settle down, this place will not be that in 10 years. "
  • Dee
"I’ve lived in my house for almost 2 yrs and love the area. The neighbors are great and helpful. I’m glad that I bought my home were I did. "
  • Rennie Andrews
"A lot of dog walking. Can’t say everyone is respectful when it comes to picking up after their dogs. Overall a good place to have a dog. "
  • Hope V.
"Like to live because there are plenty of dog owners. Quite a few like to walk their dogs and get to know other dog owners. Also, there are dog park nearby that are very nice and well maintained. There is also a 50 mile trail that runs through Polk City which is great for walking dogs."
  • Judith K.
"People are nice for the most part. Alot of it is country setting and lots of yard per house. It's a great City to raise a family in."
  • David W.
"Nestled out in the country, this area get's you away from it all, but is only 30 minutes to Disney, 40 minutes to Downtown Orlando,.. and only an hour to Tampa"
  • mark
"I've lived here 15 years. Never had any crime or problems. Polk City is a quiet sleepy town that has the necessities close by. 24 hour gas stations, a dollar general that's open till 10pm every night is within walking distance. Roads are bike/walk friendly. We have Van Fleet Trail that is a excellent walk / bike pathway that goes to Auburndale and up towards Dade City. Plenty of good lakes for fishing. I live on a good lake for bass. "
