3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly I feel like I was tricked came to the school to do the walk-through and my daughter started her ninth grade here last year and the campus is beautiful and big. So I thought this was going to be a great environment for her. But every other day there’s videos of fights they even have an instagram page where both students and staff are caught sleeping in class. I have had to deal with the incompetent staff no set up for guidelines and policies lack of staff lack of transportation my daughter spent half of her 10th grade year failing classes because teachers weren’t grading assignments that were giving on days that they weren’t in school she went through her first quarter with only half of her teachers in multiple days of either not having a ride home from school or not having a ride to school I have come to pick my daughter up on multiple occasions and given different times for when I can pick her up from school which is a major inconvenience when you’re trying to let them actually stay for part of the class and pick them up before two which is the time that is stated but when the office doesn’t feel like dealing with it they’ll tell you you can’t pick up your child I am sick of schools that have rules and guidelines for children to follow in order for them to be successful but the adults don’t have to follow the same thing the school is all front all full of all looks if you care anything about your child education do not send them to Knightdale high school!!!!Parent Review3y ago17 Reviews - Rogers Lane Elementary

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a complete joke. No structure, a lack of effective strategies, and more. It's like roaches, what I witnessed this morning they look just like roaches scattering yelling and pushing and fighting and acting belligerent these are elementary kids y'all. And the teachers sitting or standing there with her hand on her chin she didn't get up until she seen me watching. Definitely the type of teachers that are only there for a paycheck and hopefully I can get my child transferred out of this school because I think it's not a good school. I think it causes what may be a good child to maybe have a not so good experience because of the environment that I seen today iand many other days. Almost daily I'm getting a report of something where my child is misbehaving but from what I seen today this school is definitely a majority of the problem. I sent the principal notifications of my child coming home saying that they was hit and no teacher contacted me I reached out to the principal and got no responses and this was after 3 or 4 times that I had already spoke to the principal and was promised that it would never happen again and it has happened several times. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSubstituted at this school. About 4-5 kids in each period who do the work, and appear to belong in the grade level. The rest just ignore it and do nothing but play on their phones the entire time. At least half the kids have obviously been pushed through each year rather than being held back. Lots of debilitating behavioral issues. 60% of the kids legitimately seem functionally illiterate. Deeply depressing and upsetting. It’s in a new-ish neighborhood that seems nice, so not sure what’s up, either way whatever funding this school gets is money being set on fire.Other Review2mo ago15 Reviews - Check out schools near Brown Straw Dr.

"I’ve been living here for about 4yrs now and There aren’t any close by that I know of. Usually in the downtown there’s always different community events like jazz music, international foods, small businesses etc"

"This is a up and coming neighborhood. New homes being built every year. Five minutes from downtown and all it has to offer. 5-15 minutes to great shopping. On the bus line if needed. "

"Commute was 30 minutes without traffic, I can only imagine what it will be with traffic. I don’t feel like the commute is worth making for this community."

"I honestly wish they would’ve put 2 bus stops in the chastain subdivision. On marshlane and mackinac island. That would help with public transportation access. Otherwise it takes 20-30 minutes to travel anywhere in the city. "

"Nice neighborhood but has the usual outliers. In general, would recommend but still getting used to the area. The most important thing is being close to target. "

"There's no public transportation this far out. You will need a vehicle to get around. It's about a 10 minute drive to downtown and a 7-10 minute drive to 264, 40 & 440 "
