9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are so lucky to have a good teacher in both TK and K.Especially in distance learning this year, my Kid's teacher (classroom 2) is so responsible. She checks the homework, raz-kids progress, math progress every day. Every time when I send questions through blooms, she replied to us immediately. She loves kids so much and always cares about kids' development. Whenever she found my kid is in bad mood or doing something not good, she set up the zoom meeting immediately with parents the next day to understand the details and discuss how to help. I appreciate my kid having such a good teacher.Parent Review5y ago31 Reviews - Moreland Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are about to start our 3rd year at Moreland Middle School and the experience has been great. The support staff, teachers, and administrators are all friendly, engaged, and encouraging with the students and families. It is a very safe and fun environment. There are programs and activities for all interests. The school is very diverse and inclusive. I couldn’t have asked for a better atmosphere for my child.Parent Review3w ago15 Reviews - Prospect High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCan a school be worse than this one?I despise California public education and this school is no exception. Unfortunately and against my wishes one of my children ended up in this HS. I don't like just about everything, but I will go into details- curriculum; for some subjects like math, it is non-existent; CA Common Core is the worst material I've ever seen. However, if there is some kind of curriculum in a subjects other than math, we're running into the problem of "educators"- teachers: I'm sure there are great teachers even in this school, but my child hasn't been lucky with many. Pre-calc teacher has been absent mostly this year. She had a baby. You'd think that such important subject as pre-calc would have a substitute and it did, 3 of them. Then the teacher "came back", but IMO she is still mostly on-leave. Her communication usually is "I will not be in tomorrow; Here is the list of 15 items to complete". Another teacher grades everything after final grade is due. I never know how my child is doing looking at the school portal. On May 25 the student can have A and on June 1 it can be C because the teacher placed work done over 2-3 months into the portal- cell phones and school computer: I know I'm alone here, but private schools handle phones just fine; two of my children attended two diff private schools and both had "no cell phone policy". One can bring the phone, turn it off and place it in a locker. If there is an emergency to use the phone, it can only be done in the office. School computer can't be monitored by parents. The student has access to everything 24x7 for any length of time- lame snow-flake attitude by administrators: children are required to be politically-correct, non-offensive, etc., however if someone breaks the rule and further poor behavior could be prevented, nobody cares- services: anything out of the ordinary will take a battle; many reminders, follow ups, and long wait. There surely be a reason for it. Then the service "will be provided" on paper, but in fact it would happen so occasionally that it is not possible to call it a serviceThis school is not special. The entire district is awful. There will be children who will do ok in any environment. I have one of those and I'm considering sending this child to this school only because of the location and sports; certainly NOT b/c of academics. This child will complete HS curriculum in 8th grade, but I'm considering Stanford on-line and other private options.Parent Review4y ago16 Reviews - Check out schools near Brookglen Dr.

"Commute is reasonable to most parts of Silicon Valley. 30 minutes to all major companies and 45 if going really far "

"I commute to SanFrancisco on 280 at 9:00 AM, no problem, early morning and late afternoon traffic is heavy around San Jose Thanks to full employment, and a good economy. Would I trade for the days when so many were out of work? No! We need fast rail transportation, but unfortunately not in my life time."

"We are an unincorporated area of Santa Clara county and love our uniqueness in buildings and yards. There’re enough unfenced yards that allow wild animals to roam freely in the neighborhood giving it that additional charm. "

"I mostly ride my bicycle through somewhat safe streets. The speed limit on the main road is 45mph in some places and 35-40 in others. There’re schools nearby and hurried parents are something Dooley should watch out for."

"It’s character and charm. The woods and rustic, close to nature feel is so very important and I may say necessary in these times of McMansions and cookie cutter apartment developments. Let’s hope we can preserve the paradigm!"

"I live in nature yet minutes from work in one of the best job markets in the world. Did I mention the climate!? Again one of the best on the planet. 😁"
