8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a current Junior at Grissom High School and I can definitely tell you without bias that it is the best high school in the area. In spite of multiple reviews, so long as you try to learn teachers will do everything in their power to put you on the right path. As a student who’s taken all sorts of classes (honors, AP’s, and one regular) I can ensure that the education provided at any level is extraordinary. There are clubs and extracurriculars for everyone and students are bound to be able to find a sense of belonging somewhere. Overall, Grissom is a great school. It has its flaws, but it honestly just makes it more human- nothing can be perfect. If you or your child are going here- they’re in good hands!Student Review2y ago19 Reviews - Mountain Gap Middle School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFormer student speaking and from my experience I think the education is good.Except PE the teachers just have it as glorified recess and did not prepare me at ALL for high school PE. We did no push-ups no sit ups nothing. The most you did was walk a few laps around the track and you were free to do whatever as long as you don’t get hurt. They aren’t even that good as football coaches either so I don’t know how they haven’t been fired yet.Aside from PE, my only other complaint is the lack of punishment. I was bullied a lot and the most the teachers ever did was walk up to them and tell them “Please stop doing _______ to _____.” If you were lucky, they would get detention, but it does nothing because they were already used to it. They didn’t even bat an eye when the special education kids were being bullied. Ms. Graham was the only teacher I ever saw do something about the bullying. It disgusts me that the school doesn’t care about this problem.Other Review2y ago16 Reviews - Mt Gap Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m a current Junior in high school and I believe that Mountain Gap Elementary School is positively the best school providing lower education in the area. I got to Mountain Gap in the last few months of my 2nd grade year and I was welcomed with open arms. The principal, my teacher, and my classmates were very kind and I found friends quickly. My elementary years taught me plenty of content not being learned at my prior school. The normal classroom curriculum was unmatched but I also had the opportunity to be in the gifted program- taking me out of the classroom at times which was also extremely beneficial to me. Though teachers have retired and moved, I have no doubts that Mountain Gap Elementary still provides the same quality education I received in my time there. I spent the rest of my elementary and middle school career in Mountain Gap schools. If you or your child has the opportunity to go to Mountain Gap- welcome to the best years! You’re in good hands and you’ll be on the path for great things.Other Review2y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near Bluff View Dr.

"We've lived in HSV Hills for many years and love the friendly neighbors! We've lived in Pill Hill & Piedmont; HSV Hills has the privacy and retreat of those neighborhoods, without the steep hills/long drives to everything. Very safe, well-established, primely located community near Hampton Cove, affords the best of both worlds: peaceful hillside privacy & proximity to everything. Near premier schools, The Arsenal, library/community center, churches, greenways, golf, shopping & restaurants galore. "
