I am new here at this school, and I have been welcomed warmly by all of the teachers. This is an amazing school! All schools should be this way. Kind, opening, supportive.

We are two years in and find the math and science weak.m. The district dropped the Geometry, Chemistry and Algebra II regents that other Rivertowns schools offer. Geometry teacher said too many kids failed. counselors that do class scheduling are terrible at it. Requires too much researching to navigate getting our student in classes rather than study halls, and to know what classes to avoid or get a tutor because the teaching is poor Regret moving here - taxes are sky high and we aren’t getting the school experience we expected to go with it.

This school is excellent - they truly care about all students and work very hard to make sure everyone feels included, safe, and free to be themselves, whatever that might mean. They administration is very responsive to the community as a whole, and (most) teachers are responsive to parent questions and concerns about their children. I think there might be one or two teachers who might think about retiring because they a struggling to accept that society and education are changing, but on the whole, it’s a really great school.
