"Good restaurants hut bad parking. Lots of dogs and some good parks here as well. Packages get stolen a lot so that kinda sucks but get to know your mail man and he will put them in the right spot so they don’t get stolen :)"
  • 9clacour4

"Farmers markets, good walkable places and fun restaurants to try out from different cultures. Friendly atmosphere. "
  • Marissacirami
"Breed restrictions suck and need to be changed. It’s too difficult to find housing with dogs. And it’s discriminatory."
  • John M.
"Love this neighborhood... calm, quiet, friendly. Lots of space and nature feelings. Would reccoment to anyone."
  • Yves R.
"Unlike nearby areas, Sawtelle, especially South of Santa Monica, is less densely built and populated, and has a nice neighborly feel. I know many neighbors by walking my dogs here... the only thing I wish is that the area was closed to through traffic, because the 405 freeway underpasses at Santa Monica and Olympic create a giant funnel where everyone drives like mad trying to shortcut through our neighborhood. The new Expo line has done nothing to cut that traffic. "
  • Ashersackman
"There is the Bonsai festival and the Oaxaca festival, but there are always events going on on Sawtelle with all the stores and restaurants"
  • Sambulo K.
"That it is a great neighborhood. The schools are great It is near UCLA and Santa Monica college It is near the 405 freeway and the 10 freeway The rent is high but worth it There are shops and the VA hospital. There might be the homeless loitering around in the neighborhood and that is why the rent is high Cops are visible It is not far from the beach."
  • Patziandkahliljoseph
"It’s walkable with nearby restaurants, shops, movie theaters and a farmers market, library, community garden. "
  • Quentin H.
"The immediate neighborhood is anchored around Stoner Park which has a skate park, dog run area, municipal pool and tennis courts. The area has a mixture of single family homes and apartment buildings. "
  • Shiv G.
"Close to little japan town and metro stop. Short drive to all attractions- Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Venice, Culver City, Westwood. Quick and easy freeway access. "
  • Ashersackman
"Oban festival, Oaxaca festival, outdoor movies at stoner park, gallery openings at Giant/Kid Robot, Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Nuart Theater"
  • Pattieschleicher
"Stoner park hosts community events regularly. There’s also a community pool there. Few churches of various denominations host community events as well. "
