While there are some great teachers at this school, the majority of the staff and administration do not care about the students. This is especially true for students who do not add value to the perception that the school and district is looking for. Students who need motivation and someone to care about them have no one to turn to in this school. The school has had multiple lockdowns this year, with one incident involving a kid bringing a gun to school. The school does not have a working intercom system and there were teachers who did not even know about the student in the school with the gun, so they did not lock down their classrooms. I would not recommend anyone sends their children to APS. Opt into another school if you live or are moving to this district.

Teachers above 1st grade ignore parents and special needs kids. They even go so far as to hide them in photos, push them out of class for misunderstood behaviors and won't talk to parents at all unless forced. Send kids to Hemingford. I did and my 3 or blossoming.

Sometimes parents have to make hard decisions and need to hold the child back themselves and not blame the school or district
