7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family has had a great experience at Mayport Coastal Sciences Middle School. It was apparent to us on day one how invested the teachers and staff are in caring for and teaching these students. The staff there work hard to create a great learning environment and unique opportunities through clubs, in-class projects, and community involvement. The hands-on responsibilities of caring for and understanding the marine life provide them with not only a rich learning environment but, real-life skills. From their academics to extracurricular opportunities, Mayport is a great environment that is welcoming and supportive. I've seen first-hand the dedication of the teachers and staff there to ensure a positive and enriching environment.Parent Review3y ago25 Reviews - Neptune Beach Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school says they have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to physical violence but my daughter has been hit and pushed four times now and the school constantly sweeps it under the rug. My daughter has been going to this school since second grade and I couldn't be more disappointed in a school or government employees. You can have a girl hit my daughter on the bus twice and instead of removing that girl from the bus you leave that girl exactly where she's sitting and you move my daughter to the front of the bus. My daughter the one who's being assaulted is the problem?? My daughter gets pushed down at the playground by another girl and she's told to quote just stay away from that girl?? Neptune Beach Elementary is the worst Elementary School. Fifth grade was supposed to be an exciting time for my daughter but because you guys had the inability to stand up for her rights to not be physically assaulted she is so looking forward to being out of this school.Parent Review2mo ago18 Reviews - Check out schools near Andreu Rd.

"We go to the American Legion in Jacksonville Beach, the beach for fun, bars and travel to the surrounding areas for fun. Love challenge 22 rides and boots on the ground. Bike week in Daytona "

"The community is nice. Neighborhoods are quiet and being close to the beach is great. It’s secure in comparison to the rest of the city. Worth the commute to the city or south side. About 30 minutes in any direction from offices "

"Good area mostly because it’s pretty safe and close to the beach. Neighborhood isn’t friendly to neighbors. People aren’t courteous and kids vandalized my property. "

"None, except the local habits that have become like an institution: private impromptu fireworks at the boat dock every July 4, but can also sit on the dock and watch numerous displays up and down the intracoastal sans the crowds and traffic; golf carting to a friend’s house with a cooler. But mostly just quiet, each to his or her own. It’s wonderful."

"Jacksonville is a large geographic area and North Beach doesn’t have easy access to freeways. Commuting is not fun. "

"Besides being within ez walking distance to elementary and middle school, there are many outdoor ways to connect with nature in this area, including Modesky Park and the Oak Harbor boat ramp and park, where you can bird watch, or put in a canoe or kayak to row the marked trails. So much nature to experience here. Is it perfect for everyone? Probably not. But it was perfect for me and my kids. From 1998 to now, and now it’s a great place to ease into retirement. No demanding HOA. Key to why we love this very unique and somewhat, in a beautiful way, eccentric neighborhood. If you’re not an average Jo, you may love this place as much as I have these last 25 years. "

"Specifically regarding the Oak Harbor subdivision: If you enjoy simple, outdoor activities with young children (picnic, walk, bike, fish, swing, etc.), Oak Harbor is fabulous. Creative teens can also find plenty to do, but if they go looking for trouble, they can find that here as well, almost as easily. High school is a real trek, but elementary and middle school are super convenient. So pros & cons, for sure, like everywhere. I think it’s a perfect place for young folks on a budget with young kids to get started (and no HOA—good for creative homeowners!)"
