8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average(Continued again) Well I'll just try and finish this up. Anyway, as if that wasn't bad enough, it was time for me to go to lunch as it was 10:41 and I had English next and 1st floor D wing usually has first lunch... And guess what? I wasn't even allowed to go to much because one of the teachers said I had to go back to the Alternative Learning Program room as I was enrolled in that program to be rewarded for doing what I was supposed to do but even then I really didn't receive many rewards for doing exactly that and when I tried to get away, he blocked the door on me, of course! So now I get punished for trying to follow my routine? Give me a break! So basically, from my view, the staff in this school cares nothing for you if you have an I.E.P and just seems to throw common sense out the window when dealing with these types of ordeals... Thank god for homeschooling!Other Review12y ago4 Reviews - Hugh Cole School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school unfortunately just doesn't have an appropriate program for children with LD issues. The SLP services are not integrated into the classroom and the sizing of least restrictive classes / mixed classes are far too large. Compounding this is the administrations dismissive attitudes toward finding better ways to teach or improve services for LD kids. They generalize services and complain at IEP meetings that they are 'only a public school' . However, in most cases placement at this school does not meet FAPE standards for LD kids and the district has done little to enable children or parents to improve access to basic education and needed therapy services. instead aids are put in classes for children with severe behavioral issues. I view this as firefighting while the issues for LD kids continue to exponentially grow throughout their entire academic career. Parents are faced with the choice of accepting inappropriate services or paying for a private placement or worse a settlement for FAPE. Basic improvements in teaching how LD kids learn as well as social, speech and sensory therapies are urgently needed in order to improve this school and district.Parent Review12y ago2 Reviews - Kickemuit Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is amazing, the staff is dedicated and nurturing to a degree. The administration has changed, and it has changed the climate quite a bit. Mr. Carbone was an awesome leader, kept everyone happy. Mrs. Hayes and Mrs. Homen are quite a bit more aggressive and keep a keen eye on each and every teacher. It has changed the climate, making teachers more accountable, but also not as happy. Change is difficult, and I think the staff are taking deep breaths and trying their hardest to cope with the added struggles. All in all, kids are number 1, and they are trying to teach responsibility, so if you forget your book or your homework frequently, yes, their are consequences, and I think that is a great thing!!Teacher Review13y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 435A Child St.

"Warren has a nice dog park down town. In Touisset there are no sidewalks so dog owners need to walk in the street. "

"Been here for three years and love it, many friendly people here, walkable town, lots of historic charm and beauty with water views. There’s lots of community based events and entertainment, it’s very artsy with great restaurants while also having a decent blue collar population. Properties may be expensive but I’d say it’s one of the safest parts of the state."

"Lots of people walk their dogs and we have a cemetery that’s like a park for people to walk around with their dogs and there’s also a barrel that someone puts out to put the doggie bags in"

"In Touisset point the neighborhood all gathers at the community club for potlucks, seasonal parties and games etc. On nice days you will always find people out walking and biking, and kids playing in the neighborhood. Downtown warren is not far with restaurants and shops."

"Everyone walks their dogs around the neighborhood and down to the beach, the yards are all on the larger side and most families are able to let their dogs run around. "

"Lots of scenic walking routes here. But there is a lot of farm equipment and landscaping equipment coming and going. Can be loud "

"Beware of speeders when walking on streets with no sidewalks. Especially when walking your dogs and with children. Downtown warren is very nice. There are many shops and restaurants to visit within a small walking distance of the general parking lots. "

"I've lived in the Touisset Point section of Warren for over 33 years. I love It! Beautiful neighborhood, great neighbors, friendly place with real, old time, community spirit. Our community club offers activities for the young, teens, and adults. Holidays bring on a festive spirit. While I may live in and love Touisset Point, I have also participated in multiple events in town. All I can say is that Warren is a wonderful place to live, for singles, married with children, and older folks like me. I couldn't ask for a nicer town to live in."

"A small very creative town with many events. People are active and love using the bike path. Many like to fish off the bridge. While others like small town shopping. But most of all this town takes care of each other like family. "

"I lived in Warren for seven years before retiring to Florida. I grew up nearby in Barrington. I still own a house on Market St. Warren is friendly, busy, welcoming and affordable. Theater, water, restaurants and nightlife abound. Easy access bikepath, easy commute to Rt 195. Public transportation frequent to both Providence and Newport. Arts at your fingertips. Great small town America. Like they say, Smallest town in the smallest county in the smallest state, but not without a big heart!!!"
