9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDespite the lack of bullying, and its respectful teachers and other staff, this school has an abysmal campus that is depressing to look at. MBHS unfortunately doesn't put enough emphasis on STEM subjects, and some of the dress codes and other policies are absolutely absurd. Although the students hang around the main quad in groups like cattle, for the most part they are kind.Other Review5y ago - Pacheco Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers and principal of this school (2006-2014) are extremely dedicated to making sure your child has a positive experience at learning. They expect your child to perform but at the same time offer a tremendous amount of support and encouragement. Both of my children are attending this school and both are learning Spanish. The parents are very involved and the care and attention this school gets is reflected in the culture and atmosphere to be found at Pacheco. Such a difference from when I was in elementary school!Parent Review10y ago - Teach Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent I am not very impressed with this school. Sure, the test scores are high. But there is a lack of diversity at this school. The school requires parents to pay $600 upfront to cover the cost of the annual field trips. There is not a lot of allowance for lower income students to attend this school. The teachers and most of all, the principal, struggle to help students who need extra help and provide required accommodations. This school has a lot of shiny awards but neighborhood schools are a much better choice in my opinion if you are looking for community support for your student.Parent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 1225 5th St #A.

"The town is very spread out, and when you need to go across town (work and school) it feels inconvenient and because the transit in slo is centered in the center of the city, it makes it even more difficult to choose public transit. "

"I work within walking distance of my home so my commute is easy. San Luis has pockets of homes and businesses. There is a down town area. I live away from that. Traffic is increasing and can be an issue at the end of the day. There is a bus stop however buses are infrequent. "
