5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has been the WORST school I have ever had a child of mine attend. Please, feel free to browse the other reviews here, where some happen to be from actual students who were afraid for their safety. It’s very unfortunate to experience extreme unprofessional behavior and communication from the staff, ESPECIALLY from counselors such as Harold Lewis II. I have both witnessed, and experienced for myself, tactics of intimidation and defensiveness during conversation with students and parents, including physical methods. Any inappropriate behavior from students, such as fighting and bullying, is encouraged by counseling staff, as they do not address these issues in an effective and professional manner. FOR YOUR OWN AND YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY, DO NOT BRING THEM TO THIS SCHOOL. Do everything in your power to avoid enrolling them in this school, as unfortunately you WILL regret it. The teachers are overworked and dismissive. If you have no choice but to send them here and you and your child have to endure the nature of the school’s ability to truly educate, please don’t hesitate to REPORT them, even to the district if necessary. Sadly, they do bank on the fact that working parents tend to be short on time given their work schedules, so it’s best to avoid this school at all costs. Good luck.Parent Review2y ago11 Reviews - Crawford High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely not the children here at the school are very extremely racist, especially if you are a religion that they don't accept then you will be expected to get jumped in the bathrooms. And when you tell the principal or other staff around you, they will not care instead they will just put you in a classroom and tell you to stay away from them. I have already graduated, but have went to the school all four years. The school didn't teach me anything not only that, but I had to risk my life or at least it felt like I was risking my life every time I was there the security is horrible. They will let anybody in as long as you look like a teenager. The safety is unacceptable especially when it comes to kids on kids Crawford high school does not care about your well-being at all whatsoever, this school is horrible and I definitely do not recommend you putting your children inside from someone who went there all four years of their life. I'm telling you there's way better schools and people will tell you otherwise but someone who had to go there all the gang violence and racism that is there at that school will make you want to end your own life.Other Review1mo ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 85-6383 Stanley Ave.

"From Rolando Village, it’s about 10 minutes to the 8 or the 94 freeways, but then you’re pretty central to everything "

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 7 years and I like many things about it. I have some concerns about the homeless in the area especially around clay park, which is part of why I don't want to raise my daughter here."

"Older neighborhood that's becoming more family friendly as it's revitalized through home improvements and younger owners. Always been a friendly area without much of a crime problem. Walking the streets late at night is peaceful and safe."

"I moved here about a year ago and love it. I moved from the San Joaquin Valley where it's hot in the summer, cold and foggy in the winter, and almost the whole year, the air is filled with unknown chemicals and dust. Anyway, I moved to SD and my realtor showed me this neighborhood with more reasonably priced houses and still close enough to all of the great attractions of SD. I am happy in the neighborhood; it's generally quiet and safe but within walking distance of good restaurants, bars, and shopping. My neighbors (so far) are all super pleasant and easy to get along with!! "

"I live here and it's extremely quiet and we feel safe. My husband walks our dog late at night and early in the morning and always feels completely comfortable. Really glad we chose this area to live in."

"An incredibly unusual area in San Diego - neighborly, friendly, people know you (in a good way) and watch out for you - I call it the little "Leave it to Beaver" pocket of San Diego. Folks care about their neighborhood and actively try to improve it - lots of community participation. Wouldn't live anywhere else in San Diego!"
