5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFloren Elementary’s systemic issues severely fail its students on multiple levels. The principal and vice principal, dismisses concerns, whether shared verbally or in writing, fostering a culture of inaction and neglect. Staff appear disengaged, prioritizing paychecks over student needs, and set a poor example by ignoring accountability. Policies strip away students’ rights, creating an environment where safety, emotional well-being, and trust are neglected. Despite the risks to my position, I have repeatedly advocated for these children, as their well-being is more important than anything else. It is heartbreaking to see their needs consistently overlooked and their voices silenced. This neglect is causing lasting harm, and the students deserve better—a safe, supportive school where they are valued and respected. I will continue to stand up for these children because they deserve someone to fight for their rights and future.Other Review1y ago12 Reviews - James Rutter Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’ll be honest—when my son was first assigned to James Rutter Middle School, I was nervous. My brother attended over 10 years ago, and back then, the school had a very different reputation. There were constant fights, and many teachers seemed disengaged. I was genuinely worried. But now that my son is a student there, I am truly amazed at how much the school has improved. The teachers and office staff are so supportive and present. They clearly care about the students and their success. My son actually looks forward to going to school every day—something I never expected! One of the biggest highlights has been his Future Quest class. I wish I could remember the teacher’s name, but whoever they are, they’re doing something incredible. The class goes beyond the usual curriculum—it covers real-world topics like college preparation, financial literacy, and life planning. They’ve had inspirational guest speakers, built vision boards, and even offer after-school boxing classes! It’s so rare to see middle schoolers this inspired, but this program truly motivates them.Thank you to the James Rutter team for creating a positive, forward-thinking environment. I’m grateful for how much you’ve changed—not just the school, but the experience for families like mine.Parent Review9mo ago8 Reviews - Florin High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile there are some decent teachers here, half the teachers are either super rude and just assign tons of busy work and complete waste your time. They even have this ridiculous senior project that you only get a few months to work on supposedly which is just even more busy work and a waste of time since you don’t apply anything you’ve learned. Depending on what classes and who your teachers are, you might rarely learn anything here and it’s nearly impossible to get the classes you want. The counselors here are 50/50. Some actually care about you and your future and will listen to you but the others don’t. The security guards here are completely useless here and can’t even catch kids who sneak in and out, so I wouldn’t be surprised if someone who wanted to harm the school was able to get in. The school has way too much room for electives, nearly more than half of your schedule will be just electives in your junior and senior year, and as I said before, it’s incredibly difficult to get classes you want and you may be stuck in classes you don’t need or want to be in. If you care about your child, please don’t send them here.Student Review2y ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near 7141 Bacchini Ave #A.

"Can be quiet in some areas but I wouldn’t recommend living here. Maybe in the outskirts of Sacramento would be considered. The schools aren’t so bad. "

"Dog owners would not like how many stray dogs there are and how often other dogs bark aggressively at people and other animals. "

"Fourth of July sounds like the invasion of Normandy. The community also enjoys watching the helicopters look for fugitives. You can always relax and watch the hookers walk up and down Stockton blvd."

"Nothing really. It’s just an unincorporated area with some quietness at any time of the day which I kinda like. Otherwise it’s just a place where people raise goats and dogs. "
