9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEnthusiastic Recommendation for Pinecrest Elementary School! As a deeply involved parent of two children attending Pinecrest Elementary, I give this school my absolute highest recommendation. It is a truly exceptional, nurturing, and academically strong community that feels like a second home.Academic Excellence and Dedicated StaffThe dedication of the teachers and administration is outstanding. My children are thriving and consistently exceeding expectations, thanks to the personalized attention and a rigorous, thoughtfully designed curriculum. The educators here foster critical thinking and instill a genuine, lifelong love for learning.A Nurturing and Involved CommunityWhat truly sets Pinecrest apart is the powerful sense of community. My family is highly involved in various school efforts, and the strong collaboration between families and staff creates a supportive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and seen. The school is wonderfully inclusive, promoting social and emotional growth alongside academics.Final VerdictFor any family seeking a school that combines top-tier academics with a truly caring, whole-child approach, Pinecrest Elementary is the perfect choice. We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this wonderful community.Parent Review5mo ago45 Reviews - Palmetto Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers don't make an effort to communicate with parents. The grading system is a disaster. Sometimes homework and assignments are not graded. Some teachers don't grade assignments and exams until the end of the marking period, therefore most parents don't know what's going on until it's too late. The principal doesn't have much influence on the teachers.Parent Review7y ago20 Reviews - Miami Palmetto Senior High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHonestly, the school isn't awful, but they enforce punishments very unequally. For example, the dress code. We have no uniform, but we have a dress code. The assistant principals only enforce the dress code on girls, and even then results vary. My friend and I wore the exact same thing one day: a thick-strapped tank top with long pants. Tank tops are technically not in the dress code, but that is rarely enforced. My friend and I walked into the school and without warning one of the assistant principals started yelling at me and issued me a detention. I was standing next to somebody wearing the exact same thing as me, and he did not care. Four girls wearing significantly less walked by in the amount of time it took for the detention to be issued. I was in my last year of high school and it was the first detention I had been issued EVER.The teachers at this school are incredible, especially the AP ones, they teach concepts that are difficult in an intuitive way that makes them easy to understand. Unfortunately, the environment of the school is ruined by a handful of assistant principals who have nothing better to do than unequally enforce a dress code which is probably older than them. Instant detention for a shoulder peeking out is extreme.Student Review7mo ago61 Reviews - Check out schools near 113500 SW 69th Ave.

"There is traffic in the city associated with the abundance of schools otherwise not a problem HOWEVER crossing US 1 is a nightmare because of a bus line with rail road crossing gates that block traffic in or out and causes huge delays The city of Pinecrest does nothing about this. Pinecrest is a commie liberal enclave and the 6th Borough of NY"

"Friendliest post office in the universe! (Including Mars.) Just mailed a big box of books and toys to my great nephew and his new baby brother and lots of Batman and "Cars" paper was strewn on the counter...nearly everyone said, "Oh, that little guy's gonna be thrilled!" Mailman and Mailwoman are laughing, radio going. Nice experience!"

"I do not attend any special neighborhood events. So I would not know of any community events and if they are any fun. I live here only and I do not attend the local special events. I do part take in going to the farmers market, every Sunday at Pinecrest Gardens parking lot of front of Pinecrest Gardens park. Where there’s a soccer field and water park inside. "
