9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageExcellent teachers that truly care, and a community to back them up are the reasons we chose Atwater. Extremely diverse culturally and economically. The new EL program seems to be valuable. Advanced learning dept offers enrichment in math and language arts for those who need it.Parent Review8y ago9 Reviews - Shorewood High School

Compassionate educators and guidance counselors really helped my son find success during and after the pandemic.Parent Review2y ago6 Reviews - Shorewood Intermediate School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m a freshman at Shorewood High School, and I’d just like to say that SIS was a nightmare. Most of the teachers don’t care about you or your stress levels and bullying is not only tolerated but ignored. Not a day went by where I was feeling crappy about what had happened at school or angry about what a teacher said to me. I’ve especially had a bad experience with PE teachers and their treatment towards us. The school administration acts very open and supportive about mental health, but I never felt safe. I couldn’t even take my phone out to text my mom when I was having panic attacks. I’ll say it again, BULLYING. IS. IGNORED. My sister personally has VERY intense bullying problems that have led to bad outcomes. The kids who bully her are said to be repremanded, but in reality the teachers blame my sister for “tattling” and not “reporting.” If you’re going to teach the students about bullying, MAYBE FOLLOW YOUR ADVICE. Yeah. We get it. We’ve had these anti-bullying lessons for years and years. Why don’t we actually spend time making those a reality in this school instead of spending time making cute slideshows about how to tell a bully to stop. I wouldn’t recommend SIS.Other Review5mo ago14 Reviews - Check out schools near 3708 N Lake Dr.

"There are many dogs in our area, because we have many places to walk them, although there is no off leash area designated, people seem to be pleased to see your dog if you train it in leash and pick up after it. "

"Driving in the north shore is typically pretty painless. You need to be aware of pedestrians. Lake drive can be a bit of a nightmare if you don’t time it right."

"I sell houses in that area so my commute is within a few square miles. I I’ve lived in Shorewood most of my life so I know the area quite well. It’s easy to get to public transportation and there are several routes downtown the most pleasant is the drive along the lake. If you’re job takes you to outer suburbs the freeway is close and the commute is opposite of the norm so it’s much easier than the other. "

"This is a nice city area, but for the same reason it is a city and the roads aren't too safe if your dog is freed."

"Shorewood is Amazing. My son just moved here to work from New Jersey. We love this place. The homes are beautiful. The areas are so well built. Old and very charming. Very well spaced out. There are trails and beaches you can swim in. The roads are made of concrete so there aren’t any potholes. Very, very beautiful area. "

"This is a great little village. People are friendly, you can walk or bike everywhere, we’re located near the university and a bike path that can take you quickly to the lakefront or museum or, in the other direction, north to Cedarburg. There’s everything you’d need in one place. "
