3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey would not release my child to me. I have a copy of my license, my SS card , a bill, medical card, AAA card. My items were stolen yesterday . The principal is so worried about releasing her to me but she is not worried about the weed in the bathroom, the vaping and other things that are happening. Like the smell of weed coming off the students clothes. I am known with school guards and she doesn't care. May she NEVER GO THROUGH WHAT SHE Put ME THROUGH. THE OTHER woman was nasty and rude as well. I suffer from anxiety and I told them that and they couldn't deescalate the situation, instead they caused me a meltdown. If your child suffers from any mental illness this is not the place for them. They encourage confrontation. Mind you the principal told my daughter not to come back after today. Apparently she is expelled, funny I wasn't notified at all, no leadership and no examples being set by the adults we leave our children with for 7 hours a day maybe 9 hours if they go to after school. Hopefully there won't be any retaliation against my daughter from this. Time to transferParent Review2y ago4 Reviews - Miami Jackson Senior High School

"My neighborhood has close access to public transportation. But I have a car of my own so I don’t use public transportation. But if I had to I wouldn’t mind they are near by. "

"Honestly wouldnt advise living here . All you here is shooting and police sirens after a while you get used to it. Someone probably dies every other day. People break into cars, harass women walking down the street. Can’t go outside by yourself at night without the fear of getting robbed or killed. "

"Honestly I wouldn’t advise moving here. You hear gunshots on a daily basis. It’s not safe to walk outside I’m even in the daytime and the people in the neighborhood make it no better. I myself don’t have kids yet but I know for a fact I won’t be raising them here. "

"Nice place to stay, getting even better, the nearby parks have received an upgraded the streets are a bit quieter I look forward to see how much more it will improve I’m very pleased about the amenities and services of this community which are far better then most, like bulk trash pickup is every single Monday so you clean as much as you want and pull things like oldfurniture and appliances out to be picked up without a problem or having to schedule twice a year pick up. and A street sweeper comes to clean the street once a month or so. I like it."

"There are strays that live in the area. There are no dog parks in this area at all. People who do have dogs in this area don’t take care of them. The dogs have a tendency to roam the streets and harass people or even chase kids."

"There are plenty of kids in the areas, however there are more adults who sometimes fight around 3am. I wouldn't call this a same neighborhood, but there is a park nearby to enjoy the afternoon and evening."

"I have lived in this community for many years now it is great place to live with many great people who are friendly and helpful, I stay on 52st, and I love it close to many grocery stores, the design District For high end shopping, wynwood for art lovers and downtown miami. The neighborhood has a lot of history and you can walk to the MLK parade from straight from your home. "
