"I’ve lived here since I was a kid and it’s country feel is what makes it magical. The homes are graciously spaced, the air is crispy clean and the grass really is greener on this side of the island. "

"Drive to work but walk to town. The only way we could get to work is by car. Bus is very limited and it’s not that good. "

"Burns Place is a jewel of a street. It is a true neighborhood, with neighbors like family and total safety and security. Most of the homes are very wel kept and the yards are immaculate. If you can get a home that needs some fixing up on this street, you will most likely improve your property value exponentially. Most homes on this road have been in the same families since the street was made, so there is a real pride of ownership, especially on the first half of the street. It is a dead-end road with no turn around, so traffic is very minimal. It is a mixture of retirees, families, and singles on the road. The neighbors are all different nationalities. The nights are pin-drop silent. This is a rare street on Maui... I know of few other neighborhoods with this nice of homes and neighbors in this price range. The street is within walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Makawao, yet you are right on the edge of the country and rain forest. The weather is perfect... 82-84 degrees every day, year round. It rains just enough to keep it green year round, but it isn't soggy like it can be when you go even just a bit further north. "
