This school's reputation has quickly deteriorated since 2013. Test scores have fallen, enrollment is at its lowest in 20 years, and morale is non-existent.The current administration is the worst. No direction, no support to parents, and students. No community involvement to rectify and assist families.

Overall awesome experience no where near as bad as everyone think it is so many good programs that get you ready for college and as well can help you get into USC

The school isn't bad itself; this school offers a decent amount of AP classes if you're interested, Biology, Environmental, Chemistry, Physics l, English Lang, English Lit, African American Studies, US History, Spanish, AP Pre-Calc, and Calculus AB, are all offered at Manual. It also includes programs like USC Trio, which prepares students for college. There are many classes for people who are into visual and performing art; the school offers theatre, band, vocal ensemble, sculpture, painting, instruments, modern band, and AP Studio Art. There are also other electives students could take, such as creative writing & film review, cooking, JROTC, speech, debate, journalism, and leadership. Each student has 8 periods and a homeroom. The classes are separated by odd and even, a basic concept of having periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 on one day and then 2, 4, 6, and 8 on the next, with homeroom every day in the morning. The teachers here are friendly, and if you feel behind or don't understand a concept, they'll help you. It's a fun school and I'm glad to be attending it.
