I absolutely loved Queen Anne and like some others thought it was a hidden gem. My child had a fantastic Kindergarten teacher and the dual language program was a big draw. Unfortunately the school's principal has led to everything deteriorating. She does not want to talk to parents at all, is defensive and downright rude when parents try to ask questions or talk with her about their child's needs. God forbid if your child has any serious need for services or supports, or if you have a complaint. You will be shamed, you will be interrupted, you will be made to feel like you are the problem. Her most common response to parents who complain is to suggest they look at other schools, and that is why so many families have made the difficult choice to pull their kids from the school. So while enrollment in TK or Kinder might be "exploding" - wait til 2nd or 3rd grade, and at least a third of the class will be gone. While there are some great teachers at QA, it's really sad how the entire culture has shifted with Ms. Torres as the "leader." If you get on her bad side she ignores you, will not greet you, and even gets her office staff to do the same. We used to have Coffee with the Principal where the entire auditorium was packed, and now no one wants to go because they know that nothing will be accomplished because their ideas and questions are not welcomed.

This school is definitely discriminatory. Many of the administrators have favoritism towards diversity. Most of the administrators are Caucasian and based on student they handle situations differently the way they look and behave.

The school staff are terrible. They forget important information and are lazy when it comes to helping students. They also do a poor job of getting parents involved in school activities or even sharing basic information overall. It’s just a horrible situation.
