5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy middle schooler attended Twin Lakes Elementary from kindergarten to 5th grade, and her sister is a student there now since kindergarten. I am baffled and deeply concerned by the low rating of the school. My children have had an excellent education at Twin Lakes. The principal, teachers, and staff are engaged. They consistently invite and welcome parents and families into the school with various activities throughout the year. My husband and I are extremely happy with our decision to have our children attend Twin Lakes.Parent Review3y ago22 Reviews - Twin Lakes Academy Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGot bullied in 6th grade by a group of girls and they put me in the same room as them with the former assistant principal to make us "talk it out", thinking that'll work. Afterwards, The bullying escalated in many ways until 8th grade when I moved to another school. Never spoke up about it because I felt I'd be not taken seriously and invalidated, or how I've been treated didn't pass as 'real' bullying. My mental health became much worse since then, and no matter how much I think I've healed from this situation, I'll always feel like I'm a burden in my friendships or everyone is out to get and hurt me. This wasn't just 'drama' between teenage girls, it's a systematic failure by the people who were supposed to protect me. During my school days there, I've seen kids getting specifically targeted in classrooms and the teachers seem completely apathetic or act like nothing's happening, leaving the victim to fend for themselves in an environment that's supposed to make them feel welcome.. I'm speaking up because I've seen a pattern. Not only was my situation handled ineffectively,, I've also noticed that neurodivergent students are being bullied while the teachers remain indifferent. A school cannot claim to be inclusive while it's most bullied students are being bullied without any intervention. For parents who want to enroll their children into this school, be aware that their 'conflict resolution' and bullying policy is ineffective and the staff's indifference towards bullying is a serious safety concern. Nobody should feel like they're a burden or easy target. Nobody should feel the way I did.Other Review2mo ago32 Reviews - Atlantic Coast High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethere is no real review out on ACHS right now BECAUSE WE HAVE KIDS ARE TAUGHT OUR VOICES, DO NOT MATTER BECAUSE WE ARE “JUST KIDS” THEY ARE REWARDING TEACHERS WHILE LEAVING KIDS TO STRUGGLE AND FIGURE IT OUT. a good amount of 50-60 teachers who care about the students & even for them it can get exhausting because they are tired of teaching kids who are never motivated because they are always being let down. our high school years are supposed to be the best years of our lives and our most important but they prioritize our scores over our mental health. although it’s not their fault because of the lack of funding, teachers and administration should want to help the kids WANT to learn, not shove everything in their face and expect them to. teachers don’t understand how to get a kids attention. They don’t understand how to speak to a kid. They don’t understand how to treat a clearly struggling child who just needs support and guidance and patience. as an adult and a teacher you’re supposed to lead and not just think because you’re getting a paycheck doesn’t mean you’re doing a good job. there have been multiple occasions where I as a student have been late to class, pushing kids in wheelchairs to their class because a teacher were administration simply wouldn’t when they are clearly struggling. Like every school, they only care about how people view them on the outside not how the kids feel. They reward teachers while ignoring struggling kids who clearly do not want to be here. THESE KIDS NEED SUPPORT AND MOTIVATION NOT A SUPERVISOR TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE DOING WHAT THEY ARE “SUPPOSED” TO DO. This is coming from a real student who is sick and tired of watching LIE on this surveys about the school just so they can get done with it and do their work. It’s sickening and none of the teachers seem to pick up that WE NEED HELP. My generation is failing miserably and all they can blame is our phones and social media not any past mistakes leading to this future instead, they focus on their paychecks because they won’t be here to see what we do with our future.Student Review3w ago27 Reviews - Check out schools near 10200 Belle Rive Blvd #4403.

"Not a safe neighborhood. My car got vandalized, and you see other cars with broken windows. Walking around in this area near the landing at San Marco is not safe. Be careful when looking for apartments out here. "

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for nine years and I love it here. It is very peaceful and quiet. The property is well kept with improvements being made regularly. The location is central to everything with short drives to downtown or the beach, and grocery stores and a gym in walking distance. Best of all to me are all the trees that surround the entire development. They are lush and gorgeous. It’s a lovely place to live. "

"Its rural where I live. Building to fast. Not enough schools. Roads are busy. Children should not have to walk on this busy of a road with no sidewalks to bus stop. Not safe with speed of road. But most neighbors are nice and friendly. Jacksonville is growing rapidly. I’ll miss the quiet and safe neighborhood. Hopefully it doesn’t get to bad. "

"It’s nice for walks but the side roads have zero sidewalks, so you’d have to walk a good 5blocks then cross the street staying on the same road in order to walk on a side walk and not down a road with usually cars parked on the sides blocking the only two car spaced road as is so it’s sketchy with traffic. Also then poor babies feet are on hot Florida asphalt. "
