7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis high school is very disappointing. The administrators care more about their high salaries than the students. Many teachers are often on their phones or absent. Despite parents’ complaints, nothing has been done. Students deserve better.Parent Review5mo ago9 Reviews - Dutch Fork Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHORRIBLE!. school ceiling started leaking in the cafeteria because instead of worrying about fixing the piping and water in the building they decided to spend money on DOOR ALARMS. which was a complete waste of money considering the fact that the doors would beep nonstop to the point where we had to stop using them. they also invested in putting more cameras in the hallways instead of fixing the toilets that sometimes over flow and stop working!!!Student Review1y ago7 Reviews - Dutch Fork Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school as far as the teachers but the guidance counselor is horrible …. She always seems to not like to be bothered ! My family express the issues with my child was having with others with her and she can’t even hold a simple conversation …. They need to hire someone who enjoys doing their job.Parent Review3y ago4 Reviews - Crossroads Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMore schools need to be able to have reviews given by parents. I would never recommend this school it's fairly a new school and the teachers do not know how to handle a child with severe adhd. When I say do not have your child attend this chool I would definitely not recommend it. All they are worried about is disciplining a child who has a severe learning disability instead of helping them understand material. Punishing a child constantly when they do not know how to learn the material is not the way to go when you're handling a child that has a severe learning disability. More teachers need to know how to deal with children who have ADHD if they don't know how to teach children with that disability they should not be teaching children with itParent Review9mo ago12 Reviews - Check out schools near 113 Wood Lily Ln #L-193.

"In my neighborhood someone is always walking there dog or dogs. If you leave for work or just like getting up early you will see at least three different people walking there dog at 0800 most mornings. Most people carry a plastic bag for there dog’s poop when they walk. Most people are courteous and at least 96% of the folks speak."

"I am looking to live here because it's close to everything in Columbia but much quieter. I also feel safer in irmo than most places in Columbia central. The neighborhood that I'm looking at also has a family friendly park and neighborhood. The neighbors also appear to be nice and welcoming."

"Neighborhood is very quiet and not active. Could be a lot more safer and could be a lot more children. The neighbors are not really neighborly. This community needs to do better."

"My neighborhood, St Alban’s Wood, is convenient to several shopping areas. There are multiple grocers to choose from. The Okra Strut is in walking distance, and Midlands Technical College is very convenient. Dog walkers can feel safe walking our streets. "

"Traffic can be congested at 6-8:30 am and 4-7:00pm otherwise it’s not so bad on the cross street. But exiting my home unto the Main Street Kennerly Rd can be downright dangerous !!!! You do have the convience of two grocers and 2 pharmacies near,3 gas stations within 1/2-2miles distance Fatz restaurant,Lil Caesars Pizza, and a local restaurant Swamp Fox,yes it’s a somewhat quaint little neighborhood !!!"

"The Irmo area is a unique southern small town in the heart of SC. When first developed it was a quiet family based neighborhood with no worries but to the unfortunate tear down of projects and over population of homeless people being pushed outward from downtown Columbia, it’s slowly deteriorating. It is still one of the better neighborhoods to reside in for now. I can’t speak for the next 5 to 10 years. Irmo police does a great job deterring problematic groups. "

"Love our neighborhood - lived there for 18 yrs and a job transfer makes it necessary to move. We have a protected wetland behind our home and the area is just beautiful. Safe, friendly neighbors, great schools, wildlife like deer, foxes, owls, hawks."
