8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDr. Clark/Vale is a horrible leader who does not communicate properly with parents. There has been many instances where bullying, inappropriateness, or threats have been made and she handled every situation poorly. I emailed her a few times as a concerned parent and she would never answer my questions and instead just beat around the bush. Also parent involvement is practically non existent. We were not allowed to walk our children to class or be in the classroom for special days. I’ve never been to a school that limits each student to two adults attending performances. We got lucky with two out of three great teachers from our time there. Also when asked about the special education program, the staff knew nothing. My questions were answered poorly and it terrified me to enter my nonverbal child.Parent Review1y ago17 Reviews - Hogg Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at this school was pretty good, there are many new teachers but from when I was in 6-7 grade they were all pretty good. I’m now in 8th and again, many new teachers since many left after the HISD takeover. Overall a good school and would recommend.Student Review2y ago11 Reviews - Heights High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had problem with one AP teacher who feels that her life experience should be part of her teaching. She been though 2 divorces and bankruptcy. So she tells the students love doesn't exist and happiness is not real.Parent Review7y ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near 2520 Washington Ave #33.

"The area is super dog friendly, and close to a lot of dog parks. There are also pet waste stations installed throughout the neighborhood to help keep the landscaping clean, and encourage owners to pick up after their pets. "

"Area west of Houston Ave has few sidewalks and little off-street parking, but the area to the East (downtown side) has lots of sidewalks, plenty of off-street parking, and is great for walking your dog. Plus the bike path on Spring St provides excellent access to White Oak Bayou trail and parks. Very dog friendly."

"The neighbor has lots of young professionals and young families. You have available parks and walking trails or you can walk to some restaurants and bars depending when you live. Most of the neighborhood is very walkable. I see the same people each afternoon and our dogs play together. I can walk to a basketball court and baseball field that also has a plangroubd for kids"
