8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school? I dont think so....This school failed to help my child by not recognizing my childs unusual behavior of not doing any assignment. Turns out my child had depression because she felt left out and no support from her teachers. Terrible school! This school year, my childs self esteem and grades has improved a lot and more happier ever since we've moved to the mainland aka Red state.Parent Review4y ago3 Reviews - President Abraham Lincoln Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has attended kindergarten and 1st grade a Lincoln Elementary, where he is a special education student. It's unfortunate that he needs extra supports, but I think he's been lucky to attending such a good school for him. The staff as Lincoln have done an exemplary job at being there for him, starting each day with a genuine smile to greet him. In particular, my son started reading before he even started Kindergarten, and his teachers have used that strength to his advantage. His teachers make learning fun, and they've adjusted his materials so that he isn't tied to the pace of his sped or general ed classmates. He was even advanced on first-grade math. I also noticed that the speech therapist was knowledgeable about my son's specific manner of using language and was up to date on the literature of how to approach it.Parent Review10mo ago7 Reviews - Anuenue School

"Busy streets but safe along freeway. Bike paths are accessible and near several grocery stores and restaurants. Good place for single people or couples since apartments run cheaper here than other parts of the Metro Honolulu areas. "

"It is so conveniently located. Easy access to shopping, businesses and the freeway. Most neighbors are friendly. Although the neighborhood is densely populated, it is still relatively quiet and peaceful. It is a very ethnically diverse neighborhood that works well blending and assimilating those cultures together. "

"This area is central Oahu. Everything is conveniently located in the area. Many of my favorite restaurants is a 5 min drive away. My son walks to and from Stevenson Middle School. Living in Makiki is affordable and perfect for my little family and I. "

"Peaceful, friendly, lots of flowers and trees, great parks, lovely old homes and pleasant condos - low traffic as it is at the foot of the mountains, safe from floods (or tsunamis), good schools, hospitals, shopping, great bus transport to anywhere on Oahu, and Makiki Park! What more could anyone want???"
