"Lots of areas to let your dog run free. State public lands and many square miles of national forest with liberal leash laws are close. "
  • Margie Butti
"I don’t commute. It’s 20 miles to the next town. Some don’t like the many turns on main road. I live here for the forest, wild animals, bodies of water, and the elevation brings snow."
  • Lauras
"Friendly small town with a lot of parades and community events. I do t have small kids but this town seems to caterer to them. "
  • Drocksyou
"Lots of dogs on leashes being walked every day. Very dog friendly community There are no dog parks "
  • Lanette R.
"Community is great I’ve lived here for 2 years and don’t want to move I hope to buy in the area Never had any issues "
  • Stephefamily
"Beautiful pine trees and fresh air and great neighbors. It’s a great place to raise a family. We love to walk in the neighborhood. It’s safe. "
  • Collin M.
"it's free and open and there is plenty of space for the dogs too roam. Barking at night can be a problem just make sure to bring them in for the night."
  • Marcia G.
"Fantastic schools, elementary school, middle school as well as high school. We have great neighbors in a beautiful setting. The area is wonderful for hunting, fishing as well as camping. "

  • of
"Don’t let children especially little children play out front or back. Coyotes, mountain Lions, sometimes even Bears will come around looking for food. We do get a lot of beautiful Dear, wild Turkeys, coming through."
  • Tjc1junk
"I Drive17 miles down Foresthill road to auburn. About a 20-25 minute drive down the hill. In the morning and evening commute times there are more cars, but it’s not that bad a drive"
  • Aimee H.
"20 minute in and 20 minutes out. That’s just to get to “town”. Enjoy the drive. No traffic but watch for deer. About three days a year you will need 4wheel drive or chains to get home. Don’t drive drunk. "
  • acattaneo
"Several activities for all, hiking, mountain bike riding, off road parks, fishing and boating. Couldn't ask for more..."
  • Lindae309
"We have lived here for eleven years. The schools in this area are excellent, academic achievement is stressed. People are very friendly, wave to you as you go by in car. Children are polite and well-mannered. The Auburn-Foresthill area is very child-centered."
  • Charlie S.
"Foresthill is a beautiful community in the Sierra Foothills above Auburn, CA. There is abundant recreational opportunities for children and adults. The Foresthill Divide lies between the North and Middle Forks of the American River. There are scenic trails, whitewater rafting, biking and horseriding."
